Description

Tarn Hows is located within a 20 acre estate just outside the small village of Newton-Le-Willows on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The cosy oak framed building is set within a small woodland overlooking a pond, parkland and fields. One of the major perks of choosing to stay here is the setting. The small woodland and surrounding parkland are home to a large variety of wildlife including rabbits, pheasants, moor hens, foxes and yes even the occasional deer to name a few. You'll be able to enjoy waking up to the sounds of birds chirping in the morning before taking a short stroll down to the tearoom to enjoy breakfast while planning out your day.

Our tearoom (High Parks Tearoom) serves hot and cold drinks as well as soups, sandwiches, hot meals and of course a generous array of homemade cakes. A selection of breakfast choices at the tearoom should you not fancy cooking your own with a favourite being the 'Full Yorkshire.' We try our best to source

A selection of breakfast choices at the tearoom should you not fancy cooking your own with a favourite being the 'Full Yorkshire.' We try our best to source ingredients locally so it is a great chance to sample the North Yorkshire cuisine while taking in the fantastic view across the dale.

Getting to us is easy as we are located just 10 minutes off of the A1 with good access roads. There is an abundance of activities to do in the local area whether you fancy exploring an old market town such as Richmond with a stroll by the river or a hike up in the Dales to see the spectacular views and everything in-between.

Around the site be sure to visit some of the other residents such as Dicky & Lily our two miniature Shetland ponies or our 4 chickens. A farmer keeps a flock of sheep down in the lower field as well. Feel free to wander around the parkland and woods on or off the trails. Down by the pond we have a small BBQ House that is available for rent should you want to do some grilling one evening.
