Or maybe rugged mountain and coastal walks are more your thing? Number 34 has easy access to the Snowdonia National Park and the varied coastline of Anglesey and north west Wales. Just 450m from the centre of town, the numerous pubs, take-aways and restaurants are within easy reach.

To capitalise on the best features of the property, the cosy, beamed lounge with log fire is on the first floor. This leads through to the newly constructed, bright and airy, contemporary kitchen/diner with stunning curved ceiling. Double folding doors lead out onto the balcony and walkway which provide direct access to the terraced garden and sun deck, and give a view out to the woods beyond.

Downstairs, the beautiful bathroom has a combined bath and shower and two bedrooms decorated in a tasteful, contemporary cottage style.

The rear, double bedroom has direct access out to the terraced garden.In addition to the BBQ, there is cafe style table and four chairs on the deck.Parking is available on the road opposite the cottage.The cottage is suitable for young children and the elderly but, please be aware that the garden is terraced and therefore contains steps (see photographs).

Golden sands, magnificent mountains, dramatic history, it's all here! "Something for everyone" is an over used phrase but, it really does apply in this region. Here are just a few highlights:

Take a stroll along one of the numerous beaches including the 8 km of unspoilt beach at Newborough with views across to Snowdonia.
Climb Snowdon (or for the less ambitious, take the Snowdonia railway).
Enjoy a pint of the black stuff, take a day trip to Dublin from Holyhead.
Immerse yourself in the history of the region with it's medieval castles and stately homes.
Take in the gardens at one of the regions many National Trust properties.
Climb, sail, ski or take part in just about any outdoor pursuit you can think of.



Beaumaris

Beaumaris located on the Menai Straits and is home to some of the best eating establishments and attractions on the Isle of Anglesey. With its famous moated castle, fascinating galleries and quirky shops complimented by pastel painted terraced houses, where better to spend a holiday?

Eating and Drinking - 5 pubs, take aways, bistros, fine dining, all within 500m of the cottage!

Beaches - Beaumaris has a small beach only 500m away from the cottage, but drive out to Llandonna (10 mins) or our favourite Newborough (35 mins) and stroll along mile after mile of beautiful sand.

Golf - Henllys Hall 18 hole and Baron Hill 9 hole both within 5 minutes drive.

Walking - take the coastal path or a 30 minute drive takes you to the Snowdonia National Park

Sailing/Outdoor pursuits - Plas Menai the National Water Sports Centre, with it's unrivalled choice of water and mountain sports and activities is only 20 minutes by car.

Fishing - Catch your supper on Starida (by the pier only 500m away).

Horse riding - on Llandonna beach (10 mins by car)

“Wonderful place to stay - can't wait to go back”

Ok let's be honest..... We read the last review with a bit of trepidation.... We need not have worried. Yes, the house next door is being renovated. We barely noticed and when we explained we had a 3 yr old they were quiet as can be after 6pm. In fact they popped round with a bottle of wine and some Barney Bears when we were leaving. This was a lovely place to stay. The upstairs living area was spacious, well equipped and the view into the garden was amazing. We had red squirrels and birds most of the day and enjoyed dinner up on the decking overlooking the fields. Very relaxing. The bedrooms were lovely and comfortable, plenty of room and wardrobe space. Great shower too! Three minutes walk into Beaumaris and the pier at most. On a lazy night either the Indian takeaway or the Neptune fish and chip restaurant will provide great fayre. The Central Bakery just along from Popeyes cafe does great fresh bread and pastries every day. You can also order a Waitrose delivery and there's a Majestic Wine who deliver too. If you've little ones, the Treasure Island soft play is great. Ignore the exterior it belies the clean, well equipped and generally quiet interior with a little craft area. Parking on the road outside was never an issue, and the neighbours were all lovely. Benllech beach is a bit of a gem and Foel Farm perfect for a day out with children. Evan, the housekeeper, does a great job in keeping it spotless and helped immediately when we locked the keys inside. We look forward to our next visit to No. 34

Pros. Place spotless, lovely welcome pack. Clear written instructions for all the appliances Responsive central heating. Everything ready for using the wood burner. John Lewis towels in the bathroom. Sitting room and open plan kitchen upstairs beautiful. Cons. Very busy road. Parking on other side of road only. Impossible to park within 100 yards of property on 4 occasions during our 3 day stay. Bedrooms and bathroom downstairs, as soon as we open the front door the smell was of dampness, very unpleasant. Massive renovation work, not refurbishment going on in adjoining property, banging and drilling at 08.30 on Tues and Wed. Too noisy to have kitchen folding doors open.......as one workman repeatedly trying to get the attention of 'Billy' who appeared to be drilling into brick by the noise he was making. We had booked and paid from Sunday to Friday....we left Wednesday afternoon due to damp smell and renovation noise. Owners said they have no knowledge of the renovation work being carried out and apologised. Also that the damp smell could been the result of recent heavy rains, as the property was 200 years old. The walk way to the small seating at back of property is not suitable for anyone who has the slightest difficultly with mobility. It's very slippery when wet, there is a sign warning of this in the flower bed. I do have photographs of the property next door works in progress.

I'm sorry you were disturbed by the neighbour's renovations. The new owners have themselves been occasionally working on the cottage next door over the last three months, without causing any issues up to now. In fact, we received several excellent reviews during this period. We were unaware that any builders would be at work during your stay. It's a shame you didn't contact either our housekeepers or us before you left as we may have been able to resolve any problems you had. The only message we received from you whilst you were at the cottage was a text, 24 hours after your arrival, saying "Everything is fine". We have completely renovated the cottage to a very high standard and since 2010 have invited guests to share it with us. We scrupulously maintain it and have fantastic housekeepers who keep it spotless. It is accurately and fully described in the pages on the website and illustrated with up to date photographs. To us it is the perfect holiday cottage, in a great location, in a wonderful little town. It is for potential guests to judge whether the cottage is suitable for them. Clearly, it was not suitable for you and for that, I'm sorry.

Immaculate cottage, lovely log burner which kept us warm on the chilly nights. Well equipped kitchen with everything you could need. A great location, central for all local restaurants, etc, but quiet and once inside the cottage a feeling of very much being away from it all. A lovely family week away in an excellent cottage!

An EXCELLENT cottage. VERY clean with all modern fittings but keeping the cottages character. Very warm, we didnt need the wood burner on once!! Very extensive collection of utensils. Beds very comfortable. Lovely garden. Would DEFINATELY stay again. Thank you!

Excellent property with great facilities. We took our 3 year old daughter and she loved it. The outside decked area is lovely, and full of birds feeding (although unfortunately the gales that we had that weekend meant that the barbecue went unused!). Really well situated for the town centre and the sea front (5 minute walk even at a 3 year olds pace). Owners really easy to deal with, very clear instructions on how to find it and pick up the keys. We really did have a faultless break. Just wish we could have stayed longer. Ian, Colette and Mia

Very well presented cottage with everything that you would need and much more provided. The little extra touches and close attention to detail really do make this a great place to stay. Close to Beaumaris with plenty of places to eat within a short distance and in a location where there is a wide choice of things to do - whatever the weather!
