Le Rambouillet, Beaulieu sur Mer
Situated centrally in the quiet but upmarket town of Beaulieu sur Mer this studio is ideal for two people- with a super comfy double bed - stunning, uninterupted views of the mountains from each room and the balcony.
Beaulieu is a jewel, halfway between Nice and Monaco, with superb transport links by bus and rail, both of which offer magnificent views of the beautiful bays and the Corniche. Villefranche and Cap Ferrat are within easy striking distance to the west while Eze and Cap D'Ail lead into Monaco. This is a perfectly formed small town with a vitality of its own year round.
This extremely quiet, unoverlooked studio, now with super comfy double bed, is located on the top floor, by lift, of a well kept modern residence, affording it fabulous views over Beaulieu and the mountains behind, yet with easy proximity to all amenities of shops and super markets, bus stops and train station. There is a marina with a wide variety of both power and sailing yachts, edged with cafes and restaurants, a casino and two well maintained, gently sloping sandy beaches.
The studio is well equipped with a large lounge with bed, a separate bathroom and separate newly fitted kitchen and balcony the length of the apartment where you can enjoy a meal or just a quiet glass of wine and a book whilst taking in the panoramic views. The kitchen is fully equipped for those who want to cook their own delicacies, with washing machine and drying rack. Air condtioning for a good nights sleep. We have free wifi, smart TV and telephone via Skype. All in all, a perfect relaxing home from home.
Walking and Hiking: Whether you just want to wander round Beaulieu and the marina, or walk the coastal path past David Niven's beautiful villa on the way to Cap Ferrat, or strike out up into Alpes Maritime, there is something for every ability in and around Beaulieu.
Museums and Gardens: There are two local museums, Villa Kerylos and Villa Ephrussi Rothschild with its stunning gardens, with a rich cultural heritage all the way along the coast- Matisse and Chagall Museums in Nice, The Picasso Museum in Antibes and various chapels with murals by Cocteau all an easy train ride away. The French Riviera - Cote d'Azur region
Where the Alps meet the sea.
The Alpes-Maritimes is, as its name suggests, a constituent part of the Alps and has the distinction of being a coastal district with its Mediterranean coast. The mountainous area is truly rural with the exception of the three skiing resorts of Valberg , Auron and Isola 2000. Lots of beautiful walks and natural parks.
With many interesting towns to visit, Nice, Cannes, Grasse, Antibes to the West and Cap d'Ail, Eze with its perfumaries, Monaco and Menton to the East. All easily accessible by the coastal railway line.
If you are interested in Monaco Grand Prix accommodation I have a Studio in Beaulieu sur Mer and another apartment in Cap d'Ail both only 5 mins from the railway stations. The Cap d'Ail apartment sleeps 4 and is next to the sea and the Littoral path (15mins to Monaco on foot) to Monaco.
The world envies the French for their quality of life while the French envy the Riviera residents for their life in paradise. Beaulieu-sur-Mer has been a very popular destination for the rich and famous. Beaulieu is a wealthy resort owing mainly to its port where luxury yachts park up during the summer months. With magnificent views of the mountains surrounding Beaulieu from the studio, and proximity to Beaulieu's little cafes and restaurants which you can find in the town and fringing the marina, the town is a great place for a family holiday on the Cote d'Azur.
Beaulieu has a great climate, because the mountains behind Beaulieu protect the town from the Mistral winds which affect most of the Cote D'Azur. As a result property rentals during the winter months have become increasingly popular. Beaulieu has stunning Mediterranean gardens with stately palm trees, acacia trees and yellow flowering mimosa along with spiky yuccas, and phormiums, Cypress and olive trees.Balmy evenings are scented with jasmine. Although Beaulieu has history, having been a home to the Romans, there in no 'old town' as such. The small town, however has Belle Epoque grandeur with many gracious residences, built by several members of European royalty. It still boasts a Casino. There are two well maintained sandy beaches an easy walk from the town centre with stunning mountain backdrops and a daily market.
The Villa Kerylos is the village's most noteworthy landmark. Théodore Reinach built it over one hundred years ago, and now the property is used to house a public museum. It was built in the style of an ancient Greek villa, which suits both the history of Beaulieu-sur-Mer and the location's timeless atmosphere.
