West Dorset has so much to do for all ages and interests. Many of our guests just like to enjoy the country air and views from our garden, but there are many beautiful villages, fabulous beaches, interesting country houses and gardens and lovely walks nearby. It's also a wonderful spot for food! We have many wonderful restaurants and pubs to choose from, with the River Cottage not being too far away.

“Beautiful Cottage”

Reviewed 12 Sep 2014

Myself and my family stayed here for a short break and it was amazing. The cottage is beautiful,as soon as I walked into the kitchen I fell in love especially with that AGA! It's a real home from home and has everything you could possibly need whilst you're there, the only thing we couldn't find was salt and pepper but that's no big deal. It's very secluded so a car is a must but there is lots of lovely beaches nearby along with shops etc. The owner is lovely too and happy to be of assistance whenever you may need her. If we get the opportunity to we will be returning.

“Very well equipped, comfortable and spacious house”

Reviewed 5 Aug 2014

Excellent short break in this lovely traditional cottage. Nice beds and good bathroom with a well equipped kitchen. Quite warm with the Aga running in the summer but I would imagine very cosy in the colder months. The big conservatory area at the back and the large garden were great for the kids to play in and for us to sit in. Would recommend if you are looking for a traditional cottage for a relaxing break. Not for you if you want to be easy walking distance of a town or shops. Car a must.
