“Wonderful Cottage in great location!”

Reviewed 18 Sep 2012

We stayed in Church Cottage for a week at the beginning of September and what a lovely week we had. The cottage is wonderful, Tracy has gone to such lengths to make sure there is everything anyone would need in the cottage. Even down to a tabletop gas heater for the table in the garden. We love to sit out in the garden in the evenings and enjoy a drink. In September it could have been a little chilly but thanks to Tracys forethought we were fine. We took our Labrador dog who really enjoyed himself in the enclosed garden. The garden was so peaceful. The cottage was very well equipped with everything you needed, very clean and furnished to a very high standard. Its location is wonderful, just 2 minutes from the Craster Arms, which is a dog friendly pub which serves lovely food. The staff were really friendly with the dogs and made them very welcome. It was lovely to be able to go for a lovely meal in the evening and for our dog to go with us. He had a great time and made lots of doggy friends! This was the first time I had been to Northumberland. I had no idea how beautiful this region was. The beaches are absolutely breathtaking and its so refreshing that dogs are allowed on all of them. This was especially good after a holiday to Cornwall last year, when our dog could only go on certain beaches, usually ones you had to drive to and the less prettier ones. Thankyou, Tracy for a wonderful week in your lovely cottage. We really enjoyed ourselves and hope to return next year.

“Fabulous holiday cottage, ideal location”

Reviewed 2 Jul 2012

One of the best equipped holiday cttages we have ever stayed in. Everything was provided. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kids loved finding the toy cupboard and colouring box. The cottage is a pleasant 10 minute walk to Beadnell Harbour beach, (which is very secluded when Bamburgh and Seahouses are being blasted by on-shore winds). The village is very pleasant (although the little cafe has closed down). We managed one night out while Grandma babysat, at the Mizen Head fish restaurant in Bamburgh, which was also excellent. The cottage is very safe with a fully enclosed rear garden making it ideal for young children. We have already booked for next year!

“Great getaway !”

We have just returned from our week at Church Cottage and I just wanted to let you know that we had a lovely holiday. We were delighted with the cottage and it's location. We totally fell in love with the area, particularly the beautiful beaches and the icing on the cake was that the weather was kind to us as well ! Well worth the 7 hour drive !! Thank you and we hope to return before too long.

“Real home from home idyllic cottage by the sea”

Reviewed 4 Sep 2011

We stayed at the cottage from 23-30 jul 2011 with our 2 young children & my parents. the house was plenty big enough for us all to have our own space and the bedrooms were so beautifully decorated and well equipped we almost didnt want to go out!!! all the essentials were provided right down to dishwasher tablets, clothes pegs and fishing nets!! the garden was fantastic for the kids - and a real suntrap (which was good considering the weather we got was far less than typical for the time of year!!) we could all comfortably sit in the living room, and the kids made great use of the huge dining table to occupy themselves with the vast collection of games, toys and books provided in various hidey-holes around the cottage. The location was fabulous - a truly idyllic little village with a real sense of community - the lobster pot restaurant at the beadnell towers hotel is amazing and has aspalls cider on draught which was a definite plus!! I can honestly say that despite the weather we had a lovely relaxing holiday with all the home comforts you would only really expect from your own home! thanks a million to tracey for making our stay one to remember.
