Location description from owner

The Ontario region

The immediate area is quiet without being remote. It is a popular area for people from the cities of Toronto and London to come to for a quick getaway from the city, as it is within a 1 1/2- 2 hour drive. A car is a necessity, unless you are an ardent cyclist.

Stratford Shakespeare Festival, Goderich Gaelic Festival and the Blythe Theatre feature quality entertainment. Grand Bend is a wonderful place for young people of all ages to enjoy a somewhat faster pace of summer. Bayfield is a picturesque and serene heritage village with a marina, offering many things from restaurants, fine cuisine and good bars to Fishing, trail riding, etc. Zurich, a town close by, has a coffee roastery where the coffee is to die for.

Bayfield

Wide open farmland and sweeping vistas of clouds rolling through the skies combined with the seemingly endless horizon of majestic Lake Huron define the entire area. There are no windmills close to the cottage.
