Relax around the pool on the deck chairs provided, have a game of tennis, jump into the pool or stroll along the beach do whatever takes your fancy as it is all available at Sri Sayang. The resort condominium caters to both adults and children and the apartment is a home away from home.

Sri Sayang is a gated community with 24 hour security and all of the modern conveniences that you would need to make your holiday a pleasurable experience.

A luxuriously appointed and tastefully furnished privately owned 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment with the sea at your door step and the lush rolling hills as the back drop.

The unit is fully equipped with a spacious private living room, dining area, kitchen and a balcony, from which guests can take in the superb views of Batu Ferringhi, the beach, the hills and the mainland in the distance.

The unit is fully air-conditioned and ceiling fans are also installed, although the sea breezes on offer may limit your wanting to use them. The unit is very tastefully and fully furnished just bring your beach towels! Satellite TV is installed with channels including BBC, CNN plus many others should you wish to catch up with what is happening in the outside world.

All the necessary appliances have been installed in the kitchen. There is a fully automatic washing machine available for your use. There is a convenience store that stocks the basics in the complex.

The unit is fully kitted out with linen and all the necessary crockery and cutlery, kitchen cooking items (although you may wish to dine out regularly as Penang is well known for the diverse range of delicious and very reasonably priced hawker fare on offer). Restaurants and hawker stalls are located a few hundred yards from the complex.

“A centrally located unit that is a home away from home”

I stayed for a week in one of Susie's 2 bedroom apartments for my first ever visit to Penang and was thoroughly happy with my accommodation. Everything you need is in the unit and its sssoooo central to everything! The beach is just a short stroll across the road and down a little track. I was travelling on my own for a wedding in Batu Ferringhi so safety was of utmost concern to me - I found the unit to be very clean, excellently equipped and felt totally safe throughout my stay. I would however recommend checking the local school holiday dates before you go as this resort gets EXTREMELY busy during the school break. I would also enquire with Susie about a unit away from the lifts if you're a light sleeper. Internet download in the unit is limited to emails/viber/skype but if you go to the cafe downstairs for a snack, there is free wifi there! I'm looking forward to staying with Susie again when I next visit Penang but with my family next time!! Quick hint: Make sure you check with Susie what the Resort is called as my booking was made to 'Seaside Holiday Apartments' but as it turned out, that's not what the Resort is called, so this was a little confusing for my non-english speaking taxi driver!

“A Home Away from Home”

5 stars for the apartment itself, but it becomes 4 stars because the overall amenities (out of the apartment owner's control) aren't that great - decent, but not five-star. It's important to clarify at the outset that we are talking about a private owner's apartment at Sri Sayang. This private owner does not own all the apartments, nor does she manage the entire resort. So some things are not within her control, eg the swimming pool, the physical layout of the apartment like where the bathroom is etc. The apartment we had was booked directly with the owner and not with the resort. We had the apartment on the 16th floor. It had a splendid view of the sea. We enjoyed sitting out at the balcony for breakfast, enjoying the breeze. The living room has airconditioning but we didn't turn it on at all! It was always nice and cooling there. The apartment is fully furnished with quality appliances. Induction cooker, oven, refrigerator with freezer, washing machine (and detergent too!), tumble dryer, kettle, clothes drying rack, pots, pans, plates, bowls, cups, glasses, spoons, forks, knives, dustban, broom, vacuum cleaner, mop, pail, floor detergent, water filter, bath towels etc etc. There's also handwash liquid soap at all the handwashing basins! Very thoughtful. The master bedroom is ensuite with a three-piece bathroom (shower, basin, toilet). The other bedroom has a two-piece bathroom (basin and shower), no toilet. There's a toilet with basin (common lavatory) in the living room, just across that bedroom. The resort charges for parking, but its not an unreasonable amount. We had a lot in the private parking space, with a remote control to raise the barrier. It's a covered car park. The swimming pool is decent, not great. It was very crowded when we were there, the baby pool is more like a big bathtub, so it was something of a squeeze. The regular pool ranges from 0.9 to 1.5m. Alritey, the challenging part about this pool is that the resort requires guests to use the service lift after swimming. Now, one has to walk along the side of the building and past a workshop area to get to this service lift. there were people working along this route and we had to be careful not to step on their wires and equipment, not very easy while carrying a small child and towels. This is rather inconvenient. But this has nothing to do with the owner of the apartment we stayed in. Just be mindful of this if you are using the pool, be careful. Just outside the resort is a local foodstall. The eats are great here, and affordable. It's difficult to eat here with our restless toddler but it was so convenient to do a takeaway and enjoy it in the apartment's breezy balconey. We had nasi lemak (rice cooked with coconut milk and accompanied by condiments and sambal), local doughnuts, and some kueh. There'a a cafe in the resort next to the pool, but we didn't try. There's also a convenience store there. We don't have plans to visit Penang again, but if we do, we would consider this accommodation again.

Fabulous, spacious, very clean and comfortable apartment. Everything you require is provided. Great value for money. Very, very hospitable host. Would highly recommend to any visitor to Batu Ferringhi. You won't be disappointed.
