Situated just outside Bath in a conservation area and within 100m of the River Avon, the 1890 property belies the stunning contemporary interior. Compact but perfectly formed, the space has been designed with great care and sociable living in mind. Everything you could need in a clean, simple package. The living area combines lounge, dining and kitchen in one seamless space. Access is to the rear of the property via a lovely courtyard, part decked, part gravelled with imaginatively planted borders and parking for one medium size vehicle. There is a BBQ and patio furniture with parasol for lazy summer days.

“What a superb apartment!”

This has to be the nicest holiday apartment ever. Beautifully built and laid out and extremely comfortable and cozy. It is clean and bright and a pleasure to live in. Batheaston is an ideal spot to centre your discovery of the West Country with Bath itself just 10 minutes away and Salisbury, Marlborough, Gloucester within easy reach you are ideally placed. Going to Bath? Leave the car and take the bus. Every 15 minutes and in 10 minutes you are at Bath Abbey, Pulteney Bridge and Georgian Bath - and - no parking problems. Owners Andrew and Karen are charming and very helpful. We were delayed arriving and a quick call to Andrew kept them in the picture. All in all we enjoyed our two weeks at 268 and if we have the chance we won't hesitate to go back.

Had a wonderful time in Bath at the Christmas Market made all the more special by coming back to 268. They have thought of everything!!! A perfect cosy bolt hole to come too after a busy day shopping. Thank you!!

We had a wonderful stay in the beautiful apartment with a friendly welcome from Andrew. Brilliant facilities at the house for cooking and a great location for day trips into Bath. Would visit again and will be recommending to friends.

A superb apartment with everything possible you could think of. The pictures do not do it justice and the quality of the finish is high. Everything was as described and the information was perfect. Local shops great for stocking up on drinks and snacks. Enjoyed a Sunday lunch in the local pub and the fish and chip shop was excellent. Bus into Bath took about 10/15mins with the bus stop two minutes from the apartment. I would highly recommend this apartment and enjoyed every minute of our stay.

My partner and I decided to go away for Christmas this year, we have never spent a Christmas away from our families before so we wanted to make it special. Upon arrival, the cottage was spotless ! You literally could eat your food off the floor. The cottage was decorated and designed perfectly. It was very modern with a homely feel, the kitchen was equipped with everything you needed, and the living room was so spacious (yet cosy) felt like we were right at home! (we even brought our own tree to decorate! Along with the very tasteful decorations the owners had put out). The bedroom was very well designed, although it wasn't that big it was a good space for two people, especially how the wardrobe was at the back of the bed behind the wall, imitating a walk in wardrobe. The parking space was very small, so a larger car would have difficulty parking, however we have a fiat punto so it wasn't too hard to reverse into. Otherwise a taxi ride into bath city center was £10-£12. We had a fantastic time at 'perfect for 2', it truly was a lovely Christmas, and we look forward to staying there again!

This apartment is very cleverly designed to offer you everything you could need while staying near Bath: a very comfy bed, a bathroom with nice shower, a lovely kitchen, very well equipped, a nice settee and TV with lot of dvds to choose from, if you're staying in for the night. If the weather is nice, there is a small patio and you can sit outside and enjoy the views at the back. You can park your car into a very tight parking place: you will need to press it into the foliage, so that a neighbour and her bike can pass by, as they have right of way over this space, in order to get out of their back yard. At the front, where your bedroom is, is a busy road; the room is on the ground floor, right next to the pavement. However, late at night, after about 11 pm, it gets very quiet, and we had restful nights, and weren't bothered by traffic noise at all. Instead of driving on the tortuous London Rd into Bath (jams every day), take the bus, which stops just nearby and takes you right to the centre. The information given is very extensive; the owners will help you should you have any more questions.

Stayed for 4 nights. Excellent communication prior to the trip. I received an A-Z document giving all the information I needed. The owners were more than helpful and the accommodation was spotless and extremely comfortable. The apartment was stocked with everything you could need, especially the kitchen. The location is perfect, quiet but 10 minutes from Bath city centre. There are pubs nearby serving great food and also old-style pubs. Looking forward to coming back one day.

We had a lovely stay at perfect for two. It's like a home from home and the location is great for Bath. There are lots of lovely walks nearby down the canal and the river and to the local pubs. Andrew was lovely and couldn't be more helpful. Highly recommend this

Immaculate apartment in convenient location with easy access into Bath. Good pubs serving great food within a reasonable walking distance. Great for walks in surrounding countryside offering breathtaking views over the valley. 268 is very well maintained and equipped - a real home from home. There are a couple of shops nearby for milk etc. if we Visit Bath again we would definitely stay here again.

How do damage deposits work?
