This charming detached cottage is in the village of Baslow and sleeps eight people in three bedrooms.Hawkfield is a charming detached cottage in the village of Baslow. The cottage sleeps eight people in three bedrooms which are a king-size double, a double room and a twin which is zip/link and can be a super king-size double on request. There is also a kitchen with a breakfast bar, a dining room with a gas fire, a sitting room with a multi-fuel stove, a first floor bathroom and a ground floor cloakroom. Outside there is a mature garden and off road parking for two cars. Hawkfield is a fantastic base within walking distance of Chatsworth.

Amenities: Gas central heating with gas fire and multi-fuel stove. Electric double oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot. Off road parking for 2 cars. Secure bike storage. Lawned garden. Two well-behaved pets welcome downstairs only. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 2 mins walk, pubs and restaurants 1 mile. Note: The cottage is accessed up 6 external stone steps. Note: There is an uncovered water trough in the garden, children and pets to be supervised.

Region: The ultimate in “year-round” appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.

Town: The pretty village of Baslow lies at the north end of stately Chatsworth House - home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. The village has many unusual and picturesque features including a triple-arched river bridge guarded by a toll house whose doorway is only 3 1/2 feet high! Baslow offers a range of village amenities including shops, pubs and restaurants.
