"Perfect Peak District base"
Cosy Corner is a beautiful little cottage in an ideal location. I stayed for a short week and will certainly hope to come back. Made a great base to explore the Peak District and wasn't far from anything. Best of all was the walk to Chatsworth; you're on the estate within 10-15 minutes! Communication with Liz was great from start to finish. Highly recommended.
Thankyou for a lovely review.I am so pleased you had a lovely time.Hopefully look forward to preparing the cottage for you in the future.

Cosy corner cottage is just that -cosy. Tucked away in quiet location with good pubs and restaurants - plenty to do and close to beautiful chatsworth estate. Owner has given attention to detail and created a lovely place to stay . It was lovely to get a txt on arrival day to say that cottage had been prepared for us and having tea / coffee/ milk/ biscuits & even wine on arrival (plus other items) was a lovely touch. The best thing I liked was the location - fantastic scenery and walks and plenty of places of interest. The least thing I liked was going home . Didn't notice any presence of a fish and chip shop but at least there was a spar shop close by which was very handy
Wow.What a lovely review.I am really pleased you enjoyed yourselves. The extra little touches were a treat to replace your last night you were having to miss and go home.Shame. Next time maybe I will replace the wine with a Bakewell Pudding or Fish and Chips!! Thankyou for choosing my cottage.

"Perfect retreat for a couple in a beautiful part of the world"
Booking the cottage was really easy, the online booking system allowed us to see exactly when the cottage was available and book without any delay . Communication from Liz was excellent and she was incredibly helpful offering to book restaurants for us and making recommendations. The cottage was a perfect blend of character features with modern conveniences and high end finishes that you may find in a hotel or boutique establishment. For the price that we paid it felt incredibly good value and it certainly lived up to it's name of providing us with a lovely cosy retreat for our weekend away without the kids! It was spotless when we arrived and had everything we could have wanted (including decent coffee which my husband was very thankful for on our arrival!). The local area is just lovely and there are a number of really very good restaurants in walking distance the village which meant we were spoiled for choice! We highly recommend Rowleys, Fischers, The Devonshire Arms and Hatties Tea Rooms (at the back of the Devonshire Arms). We were lucky enough to be staying the weekend of the Chatsworth Christmas Market and that was a lovely day out too. We also had lovely walks in Eyam and Bakewell. And for those of you who like an early morning walk Grindleford has a lovely walk which can be finished with a hearty breakfast at the Grindleford Station Cafe. We looked at a good number of cottages before we settled on Cosy Corner and we were absolutely delighted with our choice. It's in a perfect location for anyone wanting to escape the rush of busy lives for a few nights and it's exceptional value. Can not recommend enough.
Thankyou so much for your review.I am really pleased you enjoyed your break and for choosing Cosy Corner for such a special occasion. The fresh coffee will always be awaiting your return!

"Cosy, clean, comfortable and compact"
A great little end terrace cottage in a very quiet location, well away from the busy main road that goes through Baslow. Ideal for a couple who want a base from which to explore the Peak District, Chatsworth, Haddon Hall etc. Plenty of nearby options for eating and drinking, within easy walking distance, and a useful Spar corner shop 50 metres up the road. Fischer's restaurant at Baslow Hall is quite superb; but be prepared for an expensive night out if you go there. Rowleys is nearer, and not nearly so expensive.
Hi, That is fantastic.I am really pleased you had a lovely time in the cottage and the surrounding area. Thankyou very much for taking the time to do trip advisor. Kind regards Liz
