Set in beautiful countryside just 2 miles from the historic market town of Kendal, this attractive single storey holiday cottage has fantastic views to the Lake District mountains and towards Morecambe Bay. It has a lovely elevated position and large enclosed garden (pets welcome) Perfectly situated to explore the southern Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, just 12 miles from Windermere and Bowness, with the magnificent Lakeland Fells within easy reach. Many cycle routes pass nearby (cycle route 6) and an hours stroll along the lanes will bring visitors to the pubs, shops and museums of Kendal, which also has a lovely castle and riverside walks. Beautiful historic houses and gardens such as Sizergh Castle, Holker Hall and Levens Hall are all within a short drive, whilst other exciting visitor attractions include The Aquarium of the Lakes, South Lakes Wild Animal Park and the Brockhole Lake District Visitor Centre. Shop 1 mile, pub 0.25 miles and restaurant 2 miles.
3 steps to entrances. All on ground floor: Living/dining room. Kitchen with wooden floor. 3 bedrooms: 2 double, one with additional single and pull-out single, 1 twin. Two shower rooms with toilet.

We had an amazing weekend. The house was lovely and in a beautiful location. Had everything we needed and was spotless on arrival. Would 100% go back.
Not only did Yaffles have stunning views, it was very clean and with a well equipped kitchen, including a full sized fridge and freezer. This meant with a large supermarket so very close, we were able to stock up and eat in every night. Breakfast at the dinner table was a real treat, looking out across the hills and seeing the trains pass by. You can even see the sea in the distance from the property. The property itself was larger than we had thought, so certainly not cramped as some places can be and was comfortable throughout. Whilst the property does accept dogs, it was still very clean, and our dog loved running around the ample wooden floor space. We will certainly look to return again some time and highly recommend it to others, with or without dogs.
Lovely comfortable fully equipped cottage with cows and sheep for neighbours. Lovely garden and a few miles from a large supermarket if required. Had a very enjoyable week.
We had a fantastic time here. However, I have a suggestion. There should be a name plate of the home on the roadside indicating the direction, so it's convenient for people reaching this place late in the night, as there are no street lights, it becomes difficult to locate this beautiful place.
Very nice place. Feels like home with breathtaking view front of the house. Easy access to Lake District and Yorkshire Dale.
“Lovely Cottage, perfect for our family Break”
The Location is great for a base to visit the towns & villages of the Lake District. The cottage has amazing countryside views & is perfect for a large family to relax & unwind, also with being pet friendly it allows you to enjoy long dog walks finishing of at the local pub (The Punch Bowl) served very good food, Alison the owner is very helpful & will certainly visit again

Such a fantastic place. We loved it so much, were going to come back yearly! Great location, very near a variety of things. Hare & Hound is a fantastic pub with amazing pizzas.
“Lovely peaceful cottage with excellent views”
The location about 2.5 miles from Kendal on a quiet lane suited us perfectly. Yaffles has lovely views and the fresh flowers in nearly every room made the cottage extremely welcoming. I loved the place, clean, light, spacious and homely. The only slight downside is the kitchen. It is a decent size and well equipped but the minimum storage space and few work surfaces were slightly frustrating when cooking an evening meal. The area is great for walking and there are numerous good routes for cycling. The nearby Lakeland Maze Park is less than a mile away and was a great hit.

This was our fourth visit. The views are great, and it’s quite. Dog friendly, our dogs love the garden.
