The Walled Garden Bed and Breakfast is a pretty, self-contained cottage that sits in a quiet, private garden in Barnsdale, in the heart of Rutland. Located just a minute's walk from the banks of Rutland Water, it's perfect for a weekend getaway or longer holiday, ideal for rest and relaxation or for enjoying exciting outdoor pursuits such as cycling, rock climbing, water sports, fishing, walking and bird watching - all of which are on offer on the doorstep.

The cottage has been tastefully furnished and has a large double bedroom with king-size bed, bathroom, dining area, sofa and well-equipped kitchen. We offer a continental-style breakfast including freshly baked bread and cake, homemade marmalade and jam, cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, a selection of teas and cafetiere coffee: ready for you to help yourself at your leisure in the privacy of your cottage. We also offer self-catering stays. On warm days you can step outside and enjoy the view of a beautiful, tranquil garden

The Walled Garden Bed and Breakfast is located just 3 miles from the pretty market town of Oakham, and 8 miles from the historic market town of Stamford, both of which offer excellent shopping, eating and entertainment opportunities. There are two hotels within a short walking distance from the Walled Garden, both have bars and restaurants. The Walled Garden is truly a unique place. Not many bed and breakfasts allow you total privacy during your stay. At the Walled Garden you have your own cottage containing everything you need. All the benefits of a holiday cottage, but with a delicious breakfast made just for you.

We are also ideal for working people needing a base that feels like home while staying in the area. Your breakfast is ready whatever time you wish to take it, you can cook for yourself in the evening and come and go as you wish.
