Set in a quiet country lane, within easy strolling distance of the amenities of the picturesque village of Eggleston in Teesdale, this charming listed self catering holiday cottage has breathtaking views of beautiful countryside.

The area is ideal for walking, guests can join the 'Teesdale Way' at the bottom of the garden and many other routes in the area. Cycling is also a pleasure in such a rural location both on and off road such as the mountain bike trails around nearby Hamsterley Forest. (We do have bike storage if you wish to bring your bikes)

Attractions in the local area include, Raby Castle, Durham Cathedral, Auckland Castle, Bowes Museum and High Force Waterfall.. A little further afield but easy to visit in a day are The Lake District, Hadrians Wall and Beamish Open Air Museum to name but a few.

Shopping can be done in the local market towns of Barnard Castle or Middleton in Teesdale.

Interaction with guest

On arrival we will meet you to hand over keys, allow you to inspect the cottage and answer any questions you may have. Handover is normally 2pm and the cottage to be vacated by 10am the day of departure. For guest travelling long distances we can arrange a mutually convenient arrival time.
