Since summer 2013 we do not believe anymore that there still are people who think of the people after them. People might leave this place clean, but since they don't you should expect a dirty apartment.

This very basic studio once served some anarchists for romantic hours. It has space for 1 or 2 (maybe 3) persons, with 2 persons it will already be narrow. It is very near Ramblas and Plaza Reial on the roof. Some people say it is like a house boat. You can see over the old town of Barcelona.

There is no cleaning personnel for this apartment. You have to clean it.

There are 2 studios on this roof. Here we talk about the smaller one. It hab been totally renovated in 2016.

I rent these apartments only to nonsmokers. The apartments are without luxury and not perfect. Sometimes something does not work. We repair things, when we are there ourselves. From a neighbour we get WiFi, but there is no guarantee that it works.

Up to the apartment there are 100 steps.

Up to the apartment there are 100 steps. An elevator has been installed in 2016. (I am thinking if I shall make a higher price for people who want to use the elevator. I do not know its costs yet.) At the top of the stairs there is a door. There you go on the roof. This door has to be locked all the time! The neighbours want it like that.

The house entrance downstairs has to be locked by key after 8pm and on weekends.

The terrace is not private. Sometimes the neighbours come to hang their washing.

If you book less than 3 Weeks in advance and if you arrive after 9pm, then you have to give 15 Euro to the person who will give you the keys; after midnight 20 Euro.

Before booking I would like that you write me who you are and why you want to rent this apartment. This is also to make sure that I know that you have understood what I am offering. If you know already do please also tell me the time when you will be arriving. This makes it easier to arrange how you will get the keys. If you do not write anything then it is unlikely that we will reply.

You should find clean sheets in the apartment and before you leave you have to go to the laundry to wash the used sheets of the previous persons. If the weather allows it you can hang them up for drying. Best is you also prepare the beds for the next persons and leave a note that it is done.

You will have to clean the apartment before leaving.

Rubbish bags can be left outside in front of the house entrance after 8 pm. (Do not leave them on the terrace.)

The door from the terrace to the stair case must be always kept locked. The neighbours insist on that. Also the house entrance on street level must be locked after 8pm and on weekends.

No jumping around on the terrace. It is also forbidden to use roller skates or any vehicle. This would damage the terrace and cause problems on rainy days.

“Central”

The Atico is a good choice if you want a central located flat and don't plan to spend much time inside. There is a bedroom with two beds (one large and a tiny one), a small kitchen, a bathroom and an amazing terasse. You should choose to stay at the Atico if price and location are your main priorities. / Ask Stærk Bjerregaard
