Beautifull house, unbeatably situated within the metropolitan area of Barcelona and in the midst of the Collserola Reserve.(still with zone 1 subway)
The house is ideal for combining work and holidaying, creativity and culture activities or simply enjoying moments of tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Consisting of two-floors, the house is spacious and comfortable. On the upper floor there are 3 bedrooms and a small studio, a bathroom and a terrace with lovely, parkland views. On the lower floor there is a self-contained single bedroom, equipped with a shower; a living room with a sofa-bed; an American style kitchen-dining room; and a hall. A spacious garden terrace surrounds the house which is itself, surrounded by mixed woodland and attractive villas. On the garden terrace there are numerous spots in which to relax and read, chat, play table-tennis or make bar-b-ques. Surrounded as it is by trees, the house is cool and fresh on summer nights.

The area has a rich diversity of flora and fauna. A car is not essential as the house is a mere 3 minutes walk from the station, whose trains, being a curious hybrid between underground and overland trains, arrive at an average frequency of every five minutes, and connect the house with the most interesting places of the city. However if what one desires is to get to the beaches, Sitges or Castelldelfells, for example, they can be reached in only 20 minutes by car on the excellent road network.
There are also several outdoor swimming pools nearby; only a few meters away, a small grocery store; and 10 minutes away by car, a shopping mall with a giant supermarket. Apart from kilometres of lovely forest walks other leisure activities in the area include playing golf, horse-riding. Information regarding the area can be found at the forest's administration and information offices to be found in the near vicinity, including sites of historical interest, such as the house of Jacinto Verdaguer, the hermitage of San Medir or the monestery of San Cugat, among others.
The Catalunia region
The Costa Brava of Catalonia is one of the most well-known areas of Spain. Receiving millions of tourists per year. Catalonia traditionally is an autonomous region in Spain and in fact has it's own culture within the Spanish culture. It is quite different.
Also the celebrations can fall in different periods. Catalonia consists of various areas. There is the Barcelones, the Tarragones, el Girones, and Lleida. Especially in the north, el Girones, you will be able to find several typical medieval villages which is a joy for the eye and definitely worth a day visit (inform for tours).
The Tarragones is known for the many vineyards it has (the famous Penedes). Great for sightseeing and wine tasteries. In the Barcelones you will of course find Barcelona, offering you all a Mediterranean holidaymaker might wish for.
Enjoy the best of barcelona living in a natural park.
Within just a small walk of about 3 minutes to the metro station and just some minutes of a confortable metro to all the turistics places.

A friend having stayed here recommended renting the property, and we had an excellent stay. To return to the house after a long, hot day of never-ending touristic tours were enjoyable moments, at last breathable air and tranquility. At night a blanket on the bed was still necessary . I love this contrast! I was also impressed by the condition of the house itself: despite being oldish, everything was clean and cared for. We were a group of friends and we were all content with our stay. The children of our friends played continually in the grounds, having a really good time. Closeby, we were able to see wild boar and much bird-life. We hired a car and ended up hardly using it as the station is nearby, where the metro sevice is frequent and in a short time you are in the Ramblas. The owner was civilized and gave us good advice. We will return and moreover, recomend it to our friends
Thank you so much!!! you are welcome to the villa

"Quiet and peaceful area within easy reach of barcelona"
We (family of 5) stayed in Casa Belladonna for 9 weeks as I was working in Barcelona. We had a brilliant time and really enjoyed the location of this house. It was only 25 minutes into Plaza Cataluyna. Les planes train station is a 3 minute walk from the house. We had a car (though not necessary) and we visited Montserrat, Girona, Tarragona, Sitges and Costa brava on day trips. There is a lovely small town in the hills (Vallvidrera) where we did our supermarket shopping. The supermarket had a fantastic fish counter. We drove there but possible to get bus or train. San Cugat is also a lovely town (10 minutes by train) with swimming pool and very nice boutiques and food shops. There are also lovely walks in Collserola national park (get off at Baixador de Vallvidrera which is next stop to Les Planes). Cristina was very helpful and gave us lots of advice. Our daughter needed to go to a hospital and Cristina made lots of calls for us to find out best place to go. The children loved the garden and table tennis. They also loved seeing the wild boars that roam around the hillls. There is a small playground at the top of the hill (about 10 minutes walk uphill!). Thank you Cristina for taking such good care of us. We have wonderful memories of our stay in your house.

"Fabulous retreat in the hills"
This is a beautiful spacious villa located in the hills outside Barcelona. The outside areas were an added bonus with verandahs, garden with table tennis and barbeque. Having no car was no problem, the station was only a few minutes walk up hill from the station. We could enjoy the city and then enjoy the cooler temperatures in the hills. We ate on the veranda most evenings overlooking the wooded hills opposite and watching the wild boars walking through the village. If you are a walker make sure you get some good maps. Cristina is wonderful, she booked a car to collect us from the airport. When we did have a problem, I contacted her and she contacted a neighbour who fixed it within 10 minutes.

"An excellent holiday home"
Firstly the owner Cristina could not have been more helpful. She advised us about transport into Barcelona and things to do locally. She organised a taxi for us from and to the airport and was there to meet us with the key. She responded quickly to every email I sent before the holiday. The villa was beautiful! It had plenty of room for our party of 5, it was clean and has all mod cons. There is plenty of outside areas -terraces, balconies etc. Only 5 min walk to the train station and then 15mins and you are in the centre of Barcelona - Perfect! What a wonderful holiday for all ages. Our party had 4 generations -ageing from 16-90! Thanks Cristina
Many thanks Lindsay! makes me happy to know that people enjoy the house Best regards Cristina

"Authentic and charming spanish style (big) house"
My first impression of the area where this house is located was that it was like Hollywood Hills (California) just the spanish way. I was looking for a relaxing place but close to Barcelona. Its important for me that I can bring my dog and go for beautiful walks on my vacation. This is possible here. I felt at home especially because I/we got a warm greeting from the house owner Christina. Christina seems like a very easy-going person who made me feel very relax, comfortable and welcome - she was helpful with all kinds of things like where to get organic produce and find good walks with my beloved four legged friend. The house is clean and feel very homey and cosy. There is a BIG kitchen in the shady area of the house with a big round table in the middle and a door right out to a beautiful patio with a big Mulberry three (ate a lot of them while I was there) very cosy spanish style (very much how I dream of spain). A living room with two couches downstairs an a room with a double bed and upstairs a bright area with three rooms (two of the rooms goes out to big a balcony). The house is surrounded with garden and different leveled balconies and the place is airy so it wont get too hot. Outside there is shady places to take a nab and sunny places to tan...over all - this is a house where bigger families can stay with out getting on each others nerves easily. There is a great park near (Collserola Park). Train to Barcelona just a few minutes walk away (takes 15-20 min ride to get to Barcelona). What I look for en a vacation rental: I want cleanness but not a chemical bomb (this place didn't smell of chlorine like some hotels). I want privacy and not a owner who comes running by or I feel kept under observation (there was a phone in the house you could call Christina - perfect for me). I want to feel welcome (I did). I want charm and authentic over luxury tourism (it was indeed). Every thing I looked for was here. Note: I will say if you're coming straight from the airport its easier to take the train than car - if you do come by car make sure you have a good GPS and that you tell Christina to give you good information about how to find the place. Parking is not a problem.

The house is absolutely wonderful, and a very nice reprise from the city streets of Barcelona, without being very far away. The kitchen is perfection, and its bedrooms are peaceful, with plenty of sunlight. Be sure to to walk around Les Planes while you are there. A nice Sunday stroll to its peak will feel exhilarating, and a few dogs may join you along the way.

"We Loved This Place!!!!"
My family of 4 stayed here for a week in November. Cristina was so nice and helpful and speaks very good English! She even arranged a taxi for us and she also left her phone number in case we needed anything. The house has central heating, wifi internet, cable TV, a DVD player, and is just so clean and beautiful! The photos are just how it looks in real life. The train station is very close to walk to which makes getting into the city super easy. We loved the house and all it has to offer. There are beautiful views and the furniture is very nice (beds are super comfortable too!). I love how Cristina has decorated the house! It is a mix of old and modern. Very Chic!!! Plus, she left us soap, and some food and drinks, and there were guide books, maps, and lots of pillows and blankets which made our stay so easy and comfortable. This area seems rural and you have a garden (and roosters crowing in the morning) and yet you are just next to all the city has to offer! There are large grocery stores in Sant Cugat (just a couple of train stops away) and we brought some big Ikea bags with us so when we needed food and drinks, bringing it back was easy. Sant Cugat also has many shops and restaurants. Overall, we loved this place and our host! I would stay in this house again for sure!!!

It was a great choice to enjoy all the turistic highlights of Barcelona and be able to stay and sleep in a very nice house outside of Barcelona with green surroundings, fresh air and quietness. The transport between Barcelona and the place of the house is easy and quick. All the open space around the house is wonderful for nice meals, enjoyments and relaxation.

"Absolutely perfect Spanish Villa, 15 minutes from Barcelona""
Cristina's Villa is everything it is pictured to be and more. I stayed there with two friends and it was perfect. The house is beyond beautiful and if you want to have the authentic feel of staying in a Villa in Barcelona, this is it. Cristina was a great host and helped us get to the house from the Airport without any trouble. You can take a taxi if you give them the address or you can take an easy bus to the central Plaza and then take the FGC metro train almost directly to the house. The train stop is very convenient to the house, about a 4 minute walk. With the train you can get to any place you want to go in Barcelona. The Placa Catalunya (the main plaza in town) is about a 15 minute train ride from the Villa. The house itself is half the fun of staying in Barcelona. It is truly amazing and we spent hours on the upstairs balcony just enjoying the view. There are also a few nice restaurants within walking distance and Cristina is very helpful with anything you might need to know. The internet and tv worked well, but more often than not you'll make a drink and spend your time on the balcony. The house is also perfect for entertaining with a fully equipped kitchen and several nice spots to sit outside and enjoy your company. And did I mention the view?! It's AMAZING. I miss it already. Thanks Cristina!
Many thanks Ben!! I hope to see you again in my house. Thanks for your review, is really helpful Regards!
