The original manor house has been sensitively renovated to create luxury holiday apartments. Known locally as bastides, they are rectinlinear or built around a courtyard. Each apartment is accessed privately through french doors. All views open onto the well-maintained golf course perfect for watching sunrise and sunset. Choose from south-facing private terraces or poolside apartments or watch the putting green from your living area.
The villa is a perfect Winter destination with cosy sofas. There is an island worksurface in the open plan living room to enjoy your cooking around and if you feel in need of some exercise, the golf course is only minutes away.
There are many beautiful walks in the surrounding area and the golf course becomes deserted after 18.00. Visit the nearby pretty village of Barbaste with its 15 C water mill and market day in nearby Nerac with its old town. There is an equestrian centre 5 mins away and beyond that Les Landes stretch until you reach the sea. There is also an open air heated swimming pool and spa facilities for those who want to stay and chill.
For wine lovers the award winning Caves des Buzet are nearby as well as a serene river walk along the Baise.
Notable Chateaux in the area are Montailleau and Caseneuve. The Chateau in Nerac is also well worth a visit.
This is undiscovered rural part of France perfectly situated for golfers and non-golfers.
Massage, reflexology treatments can be arranged. Also pilates or yoga classes or even a quartet if classical music is your thing. Please let us know your requirements and we can also organise the catering.

The Golf course offers many viewpoints or panoramas which are all equally magnificent to stop and admire:
A centenary oak in the middle of the course, panoramic views over the roofs of the “bastides.
Unfarmed hills on the opposite side of the valley, native trees of the Landes forest, acacias, pines, oaks, all creating a show, with the chance of sighting a hare leaping across your path, or a deer appearing out of a wood, just to accompany you along the course...
There is a unique view from a high tee shot over the village of Lausseignan and its clock tower emerging from the trees and a glimpse of a few whitewashed facades and wine-coloured roof tops.
The golf course can also be an excuse for a pleasant walk alongside the Gascony vineyards or across pristine greens set amongst the cool shade of oak trees.
The sandy, well-drained soil enables the course to be used all year round, allowing players access to their favourite sport at any time they wish, to keep in practise while taking advantage of a choice golfing destination.
The Club House at the Golf Resort of Albret is a brand new building inspired from the old tobacco drying sheds with their typical black wooden cladding.
The building, with its fashionable “lounge” style atmosphere now offers a golf reception area, pro shop, comfortable men’s and women’s changing rooms, a multimedia room for golf lessons. On the first floor, bar, restaurant, lounge areas, an open fireplace, wifi can picked up.
The RESTAURANT "Le Verger de Margot " is situated above the new Club House at the Golf Club. The building is inspired from the old tobacco drying sheds with their typical black wooden cladding.
Ideally south facing, prolonged by a vast teak-floored terrace with a magnificent view over the golf course, “le Verger de Margot” RESTAURANT and its chef propose dishes associating tradition-inspired cuisine from the south west and original flavours.
LE TROQUET, with its rustic warm décor, proposes delicious cuisine. The Troquet Gascon also has a large sunny terrace.

The Aquitaine region
There are beautiful bastide towns to discover, such as the towns of Monflanquin and Villereal
- One of the finest castles in France is at Chateau Bonaguil and another impressive castle close by at Chateau Biron.
- Heading south past Villeneuve-sur-Lot be sure to visit the small medieval village of Pujols.
Further south you reach the capital of the Lot-et-Garonne at Agen, with its popular theme park at Walibi.
A sprinkling of quiet market towns in the south of the department, including Nérac and Casteljaloux.
Overall the Lot-et-Garonne department is very good choice for a holiday in France if you appreciate nature and the chance to relax away from crowds is your priority.
Nerac, a beautiful town to spend a morning exploring, and there are some interesting medieval buildings to discover around the old town which lies on both sides of the Baise River.
The cluster of buildings just north of the Vieux Pont is a good place to start, then explore the section of the town south of the river and between the two bridges (behind and south of the castle).
It is the Chateau Henry IV at Nerac that attracts most visitors to the town, and only a part of the original chateau remains...but it is a very impressive wing of the original castle, with an outward curving wall and an arcaded balcony with decorative columns running along the first floor level.
The castle now houses a museum tracing the history of the region, and in particular of the Albret region - the historically important region that had Nerac as capital and lay on the northern edge of Gascony.
On Saturdays, the Nérac market is the hub of local gossip, socialising and all things gourmandaise. The market takes place in the town square and typifies the traditional scene of a french market. It begins early on Saturday morning and ends at noon and should not be missed at any cost.
A sort drive away the beautifully preserved medieval villages of Fourcès, Larressingle and La Romieu are all worth a visit. Alternatively , take a riverside walk to the bastide village of Vianne to have your lunch.
