“Lovely isolated location and beautiful property”

Reviewed 12 Apr 2016

The Snipe Barn is a beautiful place with lovely rooms and the accommodation is a very high standard. It is in a very isolated position, but isn't hard to find with Satnav and the directions given were excellent. I'd like to return in the summer to take advantage of the garden and barbecue. It is nearly all en-suites and is all on one level which was very helpful for some of our party.

“Spacious immaculate property”

Reviewed 19 Nov 2014

Family reunion of 8 adults and 5 small children. Snipe barn was ideal, well equipped, plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Most of all the kindness and helpful staff made this a memorable weekend. The weather was kind and 2 BBQ's were possible. Lovely walks to the river and pathways good for scooters.

“Fantastic Family Get-together Venue”

Reviewed 22 Apr 2014

Snipe Barn is the ideal venue for friends and family who do not see each other regularly and want to catch up with each other, relax and have a great time. Lovely bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms, massive kitchen/ dining room, and large comfy lounge with big-screen telly (if you have time to watch it). Would recommend it every time and hope to return.

“Great weekend retreat in Oxfordshire”

Reviewed 18 Sep 2013

We had a fantastic stay in Snipe Barn thoroughly enjoyed by a large group of us. The team were all very helpful with requests and helping out on local knowledge of cycle routes and pub recommendations. The barn was perfect for a large group of us and very comfortable. I would definitely recommend to use in the future.

“Fantastic accommodation”

Reviewed 2 Apr 2013

Snipe Barn was absolutely perfect for our group, which included three infants and 12 adults on a university reunion. The accommodation was beautiful and very modern, yet in keeping with the rustic feel of the barn. There was plenty of space for fun and relaxation in the living room and enormous kitchen/diner and all the bedrooms were comfortable (and some ridiculously spacious). The owners were extremely helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this holiday rental!

“Comfortable and peaceful”

Reviewed 13 Sep 2012

We found Snipe Barn to be a stylish and very well equipped property in a quiet rural location with plenty of space and with no access problems for the two of our teenage lads who are wheelchair users. In our dealings with the owner and his manager we found them to be professional, respectful and considerate. This property is an ideal rental for a relaxing get together break for family or friends.

“Fantastic, well-equipped house in quiet, peaceful location.”

Reviewed 26 Jul 2012

Three generations of our family stayed for 4 nights at Snipe Barn and had a wonderful time. The house was spacious, tastefully decorated, very well equipped and comfortable. Communal living areas easily accommodated 11 people and 2 large dogs, with room to spare. Great kitchen to cook in. All the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable with very nice bathrooms. The location was very quiet, with pleasant walks on the doorstep, and lots to see for nature lovers. We were close to plenty of things to do - Oxford, pretty Cotswold villages, houses and gardens to visit etc. We had a delicious lunch at The Trout pub not far away. Everyone was happy, from the 75 year old to the 4 year old. The dogs loved it too.

“Great property, great facilities, great location!”

Reviewed 10 Mar 2012

We were a group of friends who enjoyed a long weekend at Snipe. We can't fault it, all the facilities were fab, lots of space for everyone. Huge bedrooms, all very comfy. A welcoming cake was a nice touch. It would be a lovely place for families with children as well as groups of friends. Golf for boys and shopping for girls in Oxford all near by. A fantastic meal at the Trout Inn down the road too. Lovely quiet locatiion, very peaceful.

“Blissful, luxurious and exceeded our expectations”

Reviewed 6 Oct 2011

A wonderful place for groups or families to escape from it all in the beautiful cotswold countryside. We had the most amazing few days and location wise it was excellent for an afternoon at Whitney Lakes resort and a shopping trip to Bicester. A fabulous wine tasting at the barn with Oxford Wine Company was the piece de resitance for what was a brilliant weekend. Thank you!

“The most perfect, idyllic, relaxing, luxurious barn”

Reviewed 30 Jun 2011

This is the best barn among many that I have ever stayed in. If you want secluded countryside then the location is first class. Add to that the luxurious interior, which is well furnished with all the added extras you could possibly need. The courtyard is perfect - though perhaps a few sun loungers would be good for those sunny days. The property manager Pippa met and greeted us even though we were a bit late and even left a cake. And Fergus, the owner, couldn't have made our booking process easier. None of us wanted to leave and will definitely return
