“Amazing place for celebrations”

Reviewed 13 Sep 2016

We hired Owl Barn for 10 of us as part of a larger party (others were staying in Snipe Barns) to attend the wedding of my son. It really is a brilliant place to have a gathering of friends and family. Very clean, excellent facilities, views are fantastic, the owner and staff could not have been more accommodating or helpful. There are great walks right on the doorstep and a fab garden to just chill out. The open plan building means everyone can join in with the celebrations and there is a great dining table so everyone can sit together without feeling squashed. Will certainly be returning.

“A perfect place to gather family and friends”

We stayed in Owl as part of a party of 24. Beautifully converted, perfect for all ages. Comfortable beds, en suites and family bathroom. Everything spotless. Kitchen facilities - great! Lounging and eating space - huge!. Great space outside with two terraced decks. Kids ate there, adults enjoyed an evening drink overlooking the reserve. Highlights - the owl criss-crossing his territory and deer grazing peacefully. Numerous off road routes for walkers and runners, the best leading to Tadpole Bridge and The Trout Inn. Thanks to Fergus and the team at Stay Cotswold who guided us through all our arrangements providing us with a family gathering we'll all remember.

“Lovely barn, beautiful setting”

Reviewed 21 May 2014

Great barn for large groups, with lots of modern living and entertaining space. It was great venue to escape the hustle of London. Perfect for a hen do, would be fantastic for a new years eve weekend or birthday weekend with friends. The barn was very clean, with lots of seating, comfortable beds and plenty of space! The owners were very accommodating to all our requests too. Extra camp beds, extra chairs etc.

“Lovely barn”

We (x9) had a wonderful stay at Owl barn... Fergus and team were available to speak throughout the booking process and ensured everything was in place for our arrival. The barn was really well suited to our needs as well as clean, well located (but sufficiently rural) etc. Pictures don't do it justice! Would definitely stay again.

“Great accommodation in a fantastic location”

Reviewed 24 May 2013

There were 18 of us that stayed in Owl and Rose barns in May for 3 nights. Owl barn is very spacious downstairs with a huge living and dining area which was more than comfortable to house all of us for evenings. There's plenty of parking space and even had the bonus of a sizable garden and seating outside where we were lucky enough to enjoy some of the warm weather. The location was perfect as people were travelling from all over and it's quite central for everywhere and there's some great walks, pubs and villages in the surrounding area to keep you entertained.

“Beautiful, clean and spacious!”

Reviewed 5 Apr 2013

We had a fantastic stay at Owl Barn. It was much larger than the photos suggest, clean and very comfortable. There was plenty of room for our party of 11 and the kitchen was well equipped to cook and provide a buffet for a large party. We were sad to leave and I will be trying to come back as soon as possible. Highly recommend Owl Barn!

“Perfect place for a large group of friends”

Reviewed 26 Feb 2013

We had an amazing stay at Owl Barn recently with a group friends. The property is beautifully decorated and is perfectly equipped for a large group of people. I would highly reccomend the Lamb at Buckland for lunch or dinner; the food was delicious and all locally sourced. We will definitely be staying again!

“Beautiful barn, piles of space and super comfy beds!”

Reviewed 19 Sep 2012

We had a brilliant time at this gorgeous spacious and brilliantly well done barn. We particularly loved the enormous bunch of flowers and delicious cake on arrival! We'd definitely recommend this to anyone. Close enough to Oxford to go into town and explore but set in the gorgeous Cotswolds countryside with piles of space to play and explore. Brilliant.

“Loved it!”

We spent a long weekend at Snipe barn, 5 ladies and 9 (!) children! It was perfect for our needs, very well equipped and very comfortable. We will definitely be back!

“A fabulous venue for larger groups - Couldn't be better”

Reviewed 23 Feb 2012

Owl Barn is a fabulous venue for a family party. The large open plan living/ dining/ Kitchen area means there is no seperating into small groups. There is plenty of space for 12 poeple and everything you could possibly need is provided. The accommodation is scrupulously clean, bright and tastefully furnished. The area is lovely with some great pubs/ restaurants near by ( although the barn itself is in a fairly isolated location but still only 1 mile from the village) The owners and the housekeeping staff are very helpful and I couldn't fault their service. I would definately use their company and this facility again.
