“Beautiful cottage”

Reviewed 15 May 2019

Really beautiful clean, cottage set in the perfect location. Within walking distance of the beach and castle.

“Superb cottage- highly recommend”

Reviewed 20 Dec 2018

We stayed in the barn for 3 nights in December and wished it could have been longer! A stunning property in a beautiful location. Everything you could need for a lovely stay. Very close to castle and beach. Property was spotlessly clean and very spacious. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Owner's reply: Happy New Year! Thank you for taking the time to share the experience of your stay with the world! We are delights by your recommendation and look forward to hearing from you again soon (for a longer stay next time?!) :)

“80th Birthday treat!”

Reviewed 6 Nov 2018

Just back from a long weekend away to celebrate my Dad’s 80th Birthday. We booked this barn as it advertised unrivalled views of the Castle and WOW it was magnificent, with every window looking out at Bamburgh Castle. Everything in the barn was there to make it comfortable, and enjoyable from satellite tv to PlayStation to DVD’s etc. Every cooking utensil available and dish washer with tablets. Maybe some flutes for champagne wouldn’t go amiss as I’m sure most people who come to a luxury barn are usually celebrating something, but this is not something which would spoil what we thought was near perfection. We dined in with steak from the local butcher who did a fab deal of steak wine and a pudding for £21 per couple. The bus to seahouse is just over the road and a short stroll and your on the splendid beach. My 6 year old boy enjoyed every minute as did we. This was a superb luxury break away with a welcome pack of bread, milk, butter and jams and coffee and biscuits plus some little packs of Harribo sweets much to the delight of my boy. Would we return? In a heart beat. Thank you to the owners of this amazing property because we have made some very special memories.

Owner's reply: Hi there, we are so glad you had a wonderful weekend celebration and left with some very special memories. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your fab experiences and tips for others regarding proximity to the beach, buses and butcher! We look forward to hearing from you again very soon and, Happy Christmas to all of your family!

“Bamburgh Barn”

Reviewed 18 Oct 2018

Had the most amazing time with friends at Bamburgh Barn. Perfect location with views of the castle that we never tired off! The Barn was spacious yet cosy, the kitchen was well equipped and bedrooms extremely comfortable. The living room was full of DVDS, books and games to entertain all ages if the weather wasn’t kind to you. We enjoyed a visit to the Grace Darling Museum, a tour of Bamburgh Castle, a much needed walk along the coast and a visit to the Brasserie at the hotel. Plenty to do and no need to get back into the car. I would highly recommend Bamburgh Barn and hope to return one day with my children who I know will love it as much as my friends and I did!

Owner's reply: Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review, we think spacious but cosy sums it up nicely! Nothing like a good hug from a building as Kevin McCloud says! :) We are glad you had an amazing time and look forward to welcoming you back again soon!

“Bamburgh barn chilled weekend”

Reviewed 9 Oct 2018

Myself a four girlfriends have just had the most fabulous stay at bamburgh barn We have all enjoyed the roomy luxurious barn especially the fantastic view of the castle when enjoying a meal at the table or a cuppa /wine on the sofas it was delightful to look out . What also made it a special stay were the thoughtful touches like fresh flowers bread milk sweeties etc which were left for our arrival. We all had the most relaxing and chilled weekend in a very special place which was spotlessly clean with every resource to ensure you had a fab time can't wait to return. .

Owner's reply: We are glad you had such a relaxing weekend. It is indeed a fab place from which to explore, or just relax, as you say, in the shadows of the Castle. We are also quite happy to lay on the sofa and watch the sky changing being the castle all day long! We look forward to welcoming you back again soon!

“PERFECT IN EVERY WAY”

Reviewed 28 Mar 2018

My friends and I love Bamburgh Barn!!. This is my 3 visit and have never been disappointed or unhappy in any way. The facilities, furnishings and equipment at the Barn are all of excellent quality. The underfloor heating is the icing on the cake when its cold and windy outside although on this occasion and as before we were incredibly lucky with the weather and had wall to wall sunshine for our 5 day stay. The 3 Bedrooms are beautifully decorated and the linen always fresh and crisp. The whole Barn is spotless and would defy anyone to find fault with it. There is plenty of room for 6 to rattle around without falling over each other. It goes without saying .... WE WILL BE BACK!!!

Owner's reply: Yay! We are delighted you love the Barn as much as we do. Thank you for your continued patronage and we look forward to hearing from you again soon!

“Excellent accommodation, owners and area”

Reviewed 2 Feb 2018

Everything from start to finish was perfect. Communication was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. A welcome pack on arrival, warm and welcoming home and the views as mentioned frequently were amazing. Bamburgh and the surrounding areas were spectacular. Want and need to go back asap....

Owner's reply: Thank you for such a positive endorsement, we're delighted you enjoyed the Barn and the local area and are glad to have been assistance in the lead up to your stay! We look forward to welcoming you back (asap!) :)

“A festive frosty weekend in Bamburgh”

Reviewed 12 Dec 2017

The village looked beautiful as we arrived on a clear crisp December weekend. The green was decked with fairy lights and the castle lit up above us. As we pulled up to Bamburgh Barn a wave of relief hit us. Yes this place was nice, very nice. The instructions for entry were clear and easily followed. Once in the property we were bowled over by the beautiful open plan living area. The kitchen was well supplied. A Christmas tree added to the holiday feel. The three bedrooms were clean and comfortable, well supplied by 3 en suite bathrooms and an additional toilet. The view of the castle from the property was unexpectedly good. We enjoyed a fantastic relaxed Winter weekend; quality accommodation in an unbeatable area.

Owner's reply: Hi there - we love your review title! We are glad you the Barn more than met your expectations and we certainly agree that Bamburgh is an unbeatable area (well, we would say that!). It is a special place to visit in December - what with the smashing fairy lights threading their way through all the trees on the green and the castle being lit up! We're glad you had a fab time and look forward to hearing from you again soon!

“Fabulous barn, perfect location”

Reviewed 29 Oct 2017

We stayed here for a week with 2 children and could not have asked for better location and accommodation. The barn is perfectly located with full views of the castle and there is so much to see and do. Bamburgh itself is breathtaking. The barn was fabulous. It is very luxurious and beautifully done out. We could not fault it and the owners were great throughout. Highly recommended. We will definitely go back!

Owner's reply: Dear Guest, thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience! We're delighted you had a great time and look forward to welcoming you back again soon!

“Another super stay at Bamburgh Barn”

Reviewed 10 Jul 2017

2nd year in a row. Another super stay. A few little niggles but Toby (owner) responded and dealt with things very quickly. New quality decking a big improvement. Kids loved playing boules on the new Astro grass. Bamburgh as lovely as ever. Eating out at the Potted Lobster and The Mizen Head always excellent. Best find was the Piper's Pitch (classy chuck wagon) in Craster serving the best hot breakfast rolls you can buy. Sad to leave but look forward to returning. 9.5/10

Owner's reply: Hi there, thanks again for booking your second stay! We're delighted you liked the upgrades and improvements we made at the start of the year, we love them too! We look forward to hearing from you soon!
