Tarkira Tree is a fully self-contained retreat, bordering the pristine rainforest of Tarra-Bulga National Park. Walk amongst towering Mountain Ash, mystical tree ferns, and ancient Myrtle Beech. See koalas, wallabies, wombats and platypus. Fall asleep to the music of the beautiful Tarra River, running at the end of our property.

Relax and be renewed with luxurious natural therapies : reiki, meditation, lomilomi massage and tai chi. Enjoy transformational and healing sessions of breathwork or counselling. Book in for a romantic indulgence package or a deep spiritual retreat. Soak up the peace of the valley and the forest, or explore the beginning of the stunning 90 mile beach, a short drive away.

With the stunning 90 mile beach, a pristine expanse of wild turquoise coastline, the exquisite fern gullies of Tarra Bulga National Park, and lush green rollling farmland, Gippsland is a breathtaking break from ordinary life. Gippsland is home to boutique restaurants, art galleries, wineries and organic farms producing wonderful culinary delights. As well as retreats and therapies for mind and body, so can you receive the highest quality pampering and renewing treatments, in places so beautiful, you will feel like you are a million miles away.

Tarkira Tree is situated near the small town of Yarram, and also near the beautiful beachside town of Port Albert, where you can take a bushwalk though intact coastal wilderness along the estuarine beaches, filled with birdlife, take a day cruise through the prisitine waters on a yacht, or enjoy dinner on the water at the fine local seafood restaurant, Wild Fish.
If you venture out of the valley you can enjoy an exquisite dining experience at the lovely winery in Carrajung, while you soak up the vista of the grape vines stretching back to the native forests. Or take magical walks through the rainforest, across the suspension bridge, over a gully overflowing with rich green tree ferns. See the waterfalls amongst the rainforest , in all thier splendour.
