No hen or stag groups. Strictly 8 guests maximum at any time.

No parties/functions.

We are friendly and open people who love to meet guests and hear all about them. At the same time, are happy for guests to be left alone to enjoy their surroundings. We welcome our guests with open arms but do not want to meet their friends and family here. If you need to have visitors please ask permission at the time of booking. It is very quiet and private here; we and our guests value this.

Old restored mill with waterwheel and other charming characteristics.

The three level property is nestled in a wooded area with river view and an abundance of wildlife. There are four double bedrooms, including one four-poster super-kingsized bed. The house has a large living room, wood burning fireplace completed with two mounted stags heads. In the kitchen you will find a table that comfortably seats 8 people and all the appliances you will need to cater for the family. Guests have full access to the property, it's contents and the car parking area. Guests have full uninterrupted use of the mill house. Should you need any assistance family are located onsite in the neighbouring house. This is a perfect base for new, or revisiting guests to Northern Ireland. Located only 10 minutes from Galgorm Spa Resort, 20 minutes from Belfast International Airport', 40 minutes from Belfast George Best Airport, or 30 minutes from both Sea Ports you'll have no trouble getting here. Equally, once here you will have no issues getting to Belfast City Centre, City of Derry or The Giants Causeway, Galgorm Spa Resort and Seamus Heaney's, The Homeplace. If you are considering a golf holiday, Royal Portrush and Royal County Down ( Links) Belvoir Park & Malone and Holywood (Parkland) are just some of the many fantastic golf courses in N.Ireland. Free parking onsite. 20 minutes from nearest airport 30 minutes from nearest seaport 2 minutes from nearest village 7 minutes from nearest town, 30 minutes to Belfast.

N.B. Children to be supervised outdoors because of the proximity to the river and waterwheel.

The house is heated by oil central heating and from October to March, the fire in the sitting room will be set/ or lit for you and there will be enough wood in the log basket for your first day. More fuel can be bought at the petrol station, in Kells village.

Getting around

It is advisable to have your own transport. However, there have been several groups who have used the local village taxi firm, Cabs r us. They have an 8 seater minibus and are very obliging, taking people to the North Antrim Coast and Giant's Causeway and Belfast etc.

“Superb house and location”

Excellent spacious accommodation in a beautiful riverside setting. Lovely old mill with working waterwheel. Warm welcome from Alex, the owner, who couldn't have been more helpful! 5 out of 5, for sure.
