Doonenmacotter overlooks a small secluded bay in a quiet and peaceful setting with wonderful views over the sea. The house is modern with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (one with a Jacuzzi bath) and a well designed kitchen with a bright conservatory. The living room has a woodburner, comfortable seating for eight and stunning views to the cliffs and sea . The famous cliff walk to Ballycotton is accessed from the path 20 metres from the property. Ballycotton is 4 kms away which has several restaurants , pubs and a shop. Ballymaloe House, the famous restaurant and cookery school is 5km distant. The town of Midleton with its weekly market is 16 kms from the property. There is central heating and Wireless internet is available.

Dangerous Decking

Decking area and seats/table look great in the picture but require replacing, now worn and broken. Bathrooms are tired and require some TLC to say the least ie systern in one bedroom filled constantly… More

Ken Sorry you felt so unhappy with your stay. The decking has just recently dropped on one side and we are waiting for a company to come out to fix it. Likewise the issue with the cistern - these issues can arise during or between rentals for reasons beyond our control and we fix any problems as soon as possible. I am glad your problem with the deposit was resolved by just after 48 hours of notification.

Why can't I call Jo (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Jo (the owner) a message.

If Jo (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
