Description from owner

Description

The house is a delightful, bright and deceptively large family cottage beside the sea.The views are some of the best you'll see in Ireland with the house looking unimpeded across the sea to the Mull Of Kintyre and also to Maguire's golden strand. The house itself is ideal for families or for larger parties. There are 4 bedrooms, a living room, a lovely conservatory, 3 bathrooms, utility room and outside patio area which is ideal for barbecues on a summers evening, the patio area is complimented by a wonderful garden. The kitchen is very well laid out and has a gas cooker, dish washer, and a lovely Rayburn range.

Myself & 3 other friends just had 4 night stay. Accommodation spacious and comfortable. Location great, by supermarket, coast, restaurants, take away, ferry terminal. Greeted by friendly owner’s rep. Would recommend.

“Home from Home”

This perfectly situated seaside home made our holiday a great holiday. I couldn't even begin to list all the things that was in this very clean well equipped home. Looks small from the outside but a great surprise awaits you. I would highly recommend this little gem and all my family that visited us during our stay have taken down all the details for Rose Cottage so they too can enjoy a holiday in Ballycastle. Shops ,Pubs walks beach are all at your door step we live in Australia now but staying there made it feel like home. Thank you Paul and Seamus both very easy to deal with great communication which really helps when you live overseas. I wouldn't stay anywhere else now when i visit again after finding this beautiful wee cottage xx

“Excellent”

Reviewed 28 Feb 2017

This is the third time we have stayed in Rose Cottage at this time of year. It is off-season so the town of Ballycastle is in quiet mode which suits us perfectly. Rose Cottage (it's really a mid-terrace house just a couple of hundred from the seafront, the marina/harbour, and the beach) is deceptive like a Tardis. It is much bigger on the inside than it looks from outside, and very comfortable indeed. The North Antrim Causway Coast is spectacularly beautiful whatever the weather or season. Though low on tourists at this time, Ballycastle is still a lovely place. There are various places to eat, all welcoming and friendly. It is also within 30 minutes driving of some of the locations used in Game Of Thrones, especially The Dark Hedges and Ballintoy Harbour. And, of course, The Giants Causeway and the Carrick-Rede-Rope Bridge are nearby.

“Great location, great house and not even the miserable weather spoilt our stay!”

Reviewed 23 May 2013

Even though we were late due to traffic we still were greeted with a warm smile and shown round the house. The kids loved the free wifi and sky TV , the adults loved the heat from the oil fired range in the kitchen. The property comes equipped with everything you could need. The property is also only a very short walk from the beach, a grocery store, a cafe, a resturant/pub and a take away pizza place so something for everyone. We will be back!

“Comfortable, spacious and good location”

Reviewed 20 Apr 2013

Just back from 5 days in Ballycaste, amazing area to explore and holiday was made perfect by the accomodation, which is well equipped, spacious and homely. Lots of ares to lounge about and if the weather was better the garden is great too.
