This lovely cottage is set in a tranquil rural setting overlooking rolling pasturelands and quiet country meadows. The cottage has been comfortably furnished and is perfect for a relaxing holiday in the Irish countryside.

This is an ideal touring base. 1.5 miles from Kilmaine village. 3 miles from Ballinrobe town 15 miles Claremorris and 30 miles from Knock Airport. 22 miles from lively Castlebar, 26 miles Galway City, Westport 23 miles

Shop, Pub, - Kilmaine Golf , Cycling, Fishing, Shooting, Hill Walking, Horse Racing - all nearby, Beach 25 miles.

Oil fired central heating on a meter is additional cost, Electricity by meter read is additional cost - both payable when leaving.

Solid fuel stove with starter pack.

Linen and towels included.

Cot, travel cot & high chair available on request if required. TV, , Radio Internet Access

Mayo is Ireland's third biggest county and an exciting blend of rugged mountain trails and beautiful beaches set in the Western coastline. With a host of small villages dotted about the coastal area Mayo is suited to people trying to indulge themselves. Mayo also includes Ireland's largest island. Achill Island is accessible from the mainland by bridge. Its magnificent sandy beaches, sea cliffs and warm hospitality bring visitors back again and again for holidays. The famous Atlantic Drive takes you on a journey of scenic splendour, a must for all visitors to Achill. For the more adventurous Achill boasts no less than two adventure centres which offer the best in windsurfing, sailing, abseiling, diving and many other activities.

Watersports are popular all over the county. Whether on the coast or by the idyllic shores of Loughs Corrib, Carra, and Mask, freshwater fishing and angling are hugely popular. Ballinrobe

Westport 20 miles; Galway 30 miles.

Ballinrobe is a lively market town on the River Robe in County Mayo, close to Lough Mask, Lough Carra and Lough Corrib . Ballinrobe is known as the lake angling centre of the west, and with 60,000 acres of lough fishing, and miles of river fishing close by.

Geographically, it is ideally located as a touring base for those wishing to explore Galway, Mayo and west Ireland. Dating back to the 1300s, Ballinrobe is believed to be the oldest town in South Mayo, and is surrounded by many features of archaeological, architectural, historic and ecological interest.

The town offers a championship 18 hole golf course and the award winning Ballinrobe Race Course holds Spring and Summer horse racing meetings. Horse riding, cycling and hill walking are also catered for in the area.

For day trips, the stunning Mayo coastline can be easily reached in half an hour, and a visit to the world-famous Connemara National Park, with its breathtaking walks and amazing scenery, makes for an unforgettable day trip.
