Very Good

“Good house for a family group close to the river for quiet walks.”

Reviewed 6 Aug 2017

An excellent base for this years scottish orienteering festival. Ballater was the event location. The town is small but has everything you might need in the way of shops, garage , pubs etc. The house was ideal for our family group of runners and those not involved in the competition found some excellent walks locally, with added bats in the evening. A well appointed house (once i had found the pans...panicked for a bit, the kitchen is well supplied with cupboards and drawers and i hadn't found all of them ), comfy beds and a nice lounge.

Owner's reply: Thanks for your review. Glad to hear you found the pots and that you enjoyed your stay Rosella

“Perfect Holiday Home”

We spent three wonderful days at Tigh na Darrroch in Ballater, a lovely bungalow in a beautiful location. Facilities were excellent, everything we needed was there. We just had to enjoy ourselves! The sunny weather allowed us to have most meals in the spacious garden which added to the holiday atmosphere.

Very nice bungalow well appointed and equipped. A second tiolet would be a good addition edoecislly if six people staying. In quiet location on edge of ballater. Nice riverside walk in to village

Owner's reply: Hi David Glad that you enjoyed the bungalow. Thanks for the review. It does say in the description there is only one toilet and we do not have any plans for a second toilet though any time soon. Best wishes Rosella

Cannot fault the bungalow or the owner, the bungalow was perfect, very spacious and we didn't want for anything during our stay, the owner quickly replied to emails and went out of her way to make sure my party had everything for our stay. I will not hesitate to recommend this property to friends and family. Royal deeside is always a very nice place to visit and it didn't dissapoint this time. Looking forward to next time. Thanks

Owner's reply: Hi Darren Thanks for the review and I am glad to hear you had a good time and enjoyed the house. I look forward to welcoming you again in future Best wishes Rosella

“Excellent holiday home.”

Reviewed 29 Aug 2012

We spent a most relaxing and enjoyable week in this lovely holiday home which was tasefully decorated and had absolutely everything we needed including television and internet access. It has a lovely big garden at the rear and backs on to the path which leads down to the river, where there are paths for walking and cycling. It is situated just a 5 minute walk in to Ballater Square where we enjoyed dining in the evenings. There was a nice selection of shops and cafes to cater for most peoples tastes. I would have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone thinking of visiting Ballater.

“Spacious, comfortable, and exceptionally good location.”
