Cornellan is a delightful holiday cottage that will feel like your home from home, set in a quiet square within the charming Victorian village of Ballater in Royal Deeside. A very spacious and comfortable cottage with everything you need to enjoy a memorable stay. Enjoy time in the spacious lounge area in front of the log fire, or open out the french windows to enjoy breakfast al fresco or to while away the hours and enjoy a sunny afternoon within the privacy of our enclosed courtyard. The cottage is well equipped and furnished to a high standard, and enjoys a peaceful location very close to the River Dee. Only a short walk to the town centre of Ballater, with great walking straight from the front door and a short distance from the golf club. The cottage is well positioned, with allocated parking space, and provides an ideal base to explore the surrounding areas including Braemar, Balmoral, Glenshee and the Cairngorms.

For spectacular scenery, Royal Deeside provides some of the best, with a huge expanse of area full of mountains, lochs and glens full of romance, wildlife and scenic beauty. The region offers a broad ranging selection of outdoor pursuits from cycling, golfing, fishing & shooting, hill climbing, adventure parks, snow sports, horse-riding,wildlife, castle trails, whiskey distilleries and art galleries to name a few.

Ballater

Ballater is a lovely Victorian town, situated in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park offering spectacular scenery, and many opportunities to take part in a wide range of outdoor and leisure activities, exploring the historic region, sightseeing and fun pursuits.The town is scenic with the River Dee flowing through just steps away from the doorstep of Cornellan Cottage and surrounded by beautiful mountains and lush pine forests. The abundance of wildlife makes it a paradise for naturalists and birdwatchers. It is a favourite Scottish retreat of the Royal Family with Balmoral Castle only a few miles away.Nearby is Ballater Golf Club offering an interesting and challenging 18-hole course surrounded by breathtaking scenery.The town is alive with shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. The village green in the town centre provides the perfect spot to enjoy a picnic and watch the world go by. Often there are car boot sales on the village green. You may have a display of the Ballater Pipe band practising their music.
