“Lovely cottage with fantastic views”

Reviewed 31 Jul 2016

This was a beautiful cottage with beautiful views over the loch. Some evenings were really breathtaking. The cottage itself was very comfortable with everything we needed. Very "oldy worldy" feeling. We had an absolutely fantastic holiday and would definitely come again. Just a couple of small points I would like to mention, when we went to hoover on the last day, the hoover bag was full and there were no spares, also the heating was a bit of a problem for me. I realise it can get cold there, but sometimes it would have been nice to turn it off.

Thank-you for the feedback, its always appreciated as it helps us to keep on improving the cottages.....Its a nice problem to have being too warm! - especially in Scotland. My only suggestion would be to turn the valves down on the actual radiators to help control the heat, but as I'm sure you can appreciate, its hard to get the temperature just right for everyone. We've just recently had a new boiler installed, so its more a case of us getting used to how much better it is at producing heat. I'll mention to the cleaner re the hoover bags and ask her to ensure its changed. Glad you had a good time, and hope you come back again soon.

“Perfect”

As explained in the title, Perfect, This cottage has every single thing you would need for a short break or a long stay, Very clean and comfortable. This was our second stay in six month and I can not wait to go back.

“A cosy warm house in very nice surroundings”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2013

Stone Cottage is a very nice house between Ballachulish and Glencoe, Scotland. Very well equiped, with a friendly atmosphere. We had a good time with mixed weather, in the direct surroundings you can walk on an easy and a difficult level. It's located at a (in daytime rather busy) road (that's the only disadvantage), but therefore you can go everywhere. We did a lot of trips, walking and by car. When the weather is fine, you have a direct view on perfect sunsets.

“Cosy cottage, excellent location, great value.”

Reviewed 2 Apr 2013

We had a great wee break in Stone Cottage 1. Ideal location just on the edge of Glencoe Village and 20 mins drive from the ski resort. The cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Just wish we could have stayed a little longer.

“Cracking cottage on the edge of Glen Coe village”

Reviewed 8 Oct 2012

I had a fantastic four days staying in the cottage. I had booked my stay at short notice and was given clear booking instructions from the owner. This made the process painfree and straightforward. When i arrived at the cottage, i found everything as explained in my welcome email. I w as pleasantly surprised to find logs and kindling sticks waiting for me. The a coronation was spotless and comfortable, just what i needed after a day walking. The location was perfect for me, just on the edge of Glen Coe village. There is a local shop and a garage almost on your doorstep that provides all the basic essentials. I would definitely recommend staying at the cottage.
