Balestrate, a cute little town with 6000 inhabitants, is situated 35km west of Palermo in the famous Gulf of Castellammare. The location offers all the best. The streets, lined with restaurants, bars and shops, pulsate with life day and night. Excellent is the local production of wine. The friendliness and openness of the locals, who are always willing to lend a helping hand, will make you feel at right at home. Balestrate’s location directly on the coast and its yachting marina, make it ideal for motorsport and fishing and its long, fine sandy beaches andturquoise waters mean diving and surfing are very popular. Fresh fish and fresh vegetable will be sold in the streets - very tipical for Sicily

"Pleasant stay in a beautiful area of Sicily"
I can fully recommend the appartment. Located in the hills up of Balestrate, surrounded by olive trees and citrus plantations, it is an ideal hideaway in pleasant countryside. The appartment offers a beautiful garden and terrace, the house has all it needs for a comfortable holiday stay. The beutiful highlights of Northwestern Sicily are all easy to reach within an hours drive, what more to say, only that the owners are very nice and pleasant people, helpful and always ready to help or give advice. I can definitely recommend staying at this place.

"An ideal get away with friendly, attentive hosts."
I recently stayed at Casa Santo with my husband and two grown up daughters. The setting and location was a peaceful retreat in the middle of the olive groves but also close to all amenities in the pleasant little town of Balestrate. It was home from home with the added bonus of wall to wall sunshine with friendly and helpful hosts. We were visited daily by the friendly pets (2 dogs a cat and the chickens). An ideal location for visiting the surrounding archaeological sites and the wonderful North West Sicilian coastline. I highly recommend Casa Santo for a relaxing and unforgettable stay.

"Quiet cosy villa with great views and central to many attractions in area"
Stayed for 5 weeks, villa was clean and cosy, well equipped for longer stays. Location is quite central for visits to attractions in north, west, and central Sicily. Loved the rooftop terrace with great views, also a small terrace by the front door. It is in a sunny location and surrounded by lovely olive trees. Our hosts Andrea and Girolamo are wonderful, friendly, and extremely helpful. Any small problem and they were right on it to get it fixed. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would reccomend this place to anyone.

"A Delightful Place to Stay"
Way at the top of hills overlooking the olive tree-filled countryside, this small house is pleasant and practical. Late afternoons on the terrace with a glass of local wine are unforgettable. The couple who own the house and live beside it couldn't possibly be kinder or more helpful. The one negative is the numerous dogs kept by neighbors that bark literally all night long. With the widows open on a warm night, sleeping is very difficult.
