Very Good

“Cute and cosy (the wife’s words!)”

Reviewed 19 Feb 2018

Location is excellent and lots of nice gestures around the cabin including a bottle of bubbly in the fridge when we got there. The heating in the bedroom would only get up to 18 but plenty of covers on the bed to keep warm. Left alone and very private.

“Woodcutters getaway”

Reviewed 11 Sep 2017

5 stars lovely place and good location. Very private outdoor area. Love the decor inside and the little touches like having a bottle of Prosecco and box of chocolates waiting for us on arrival. Only small recommendation is I didn't like having the furry stags head on the wall and I didn't use any of the expensive Spode dining set because of the charge if they were damage. Personally I wouldn't even have them in there but apart from that really lovely place!!!

Owner's reply: Thank you for the kind review, the fury stags head isn't everyones taste just a bit of fun, the plates are really good quality and hard wearing you would be really really unlucky to break one.

“The most wonderful cabin feel like you are in the middle of nowhere”

Reviewed 9 Nov 2016

Simply wonderful! Restful retreat! The bed is comfortable, bakewell a delight. Could literally not fault this cabin and is a perfect getaway The owner goes the extra mile as you can see with the balloons and banners for my partners birthday upon arrival. I've been to other cabin/hot tub getaways and we were over looked by others. This is a secluded cabin and it is so peaceful

was a lovely break, cabin was gorgeous and the hot tub was fab!!! - of course the local bakewell tarts went down a treat :)

“Beautiful cabin shame about service”

Reviewed 26 Oct 2016

Let me start by saying that the cabin and location is beautiful, however for £400 for 2 nights let's hope you don't require any help or assistance or encounter any problems! The owners is rude, arrogant and refuses to offer any sympathy. They clearly have hot tub issues as some of the previous reviews state and must get someone round early in the morning to check it. When we arrived the cabin was not clean as they didn't know we were arriving, strange considering I had an email exchange with the owner the week of our stay! Hot tub was not up to temperature and then required re filling. Apparently this was our fault we had splashed too much water out of it! Owner then made a ridiculous damage claim after we stayed which we fought and eventually got our money back. Don't be believed in to thinking of you have a problem that either the owner or Holiday Lettinga will help you... they won't! £400 for a disastrous 2 night stay. Such a shame as we would have returned if our complaints were dealt with appropriately.
