There are lots of events organised throughout the whole year, music festivals, art, antique, agricultural shows, autumn carnivals.

Awliscombe

Famous for Lace - Honiton through the ages has been an important stopping place for people travelling to the West Country. It is an ideal stopping area and close to the coast and moorland. The main town has a wide high street with many interesting shops. There are still private individual shops and eateries many serving local foods. The surrounding area of Honiton has many small rural villages - Gittisham and Broadhembury are mainly thatched villages and owned by private estates. Just 7 miles to the south coast and famous town of Sidmouth, where there are steep sandstone cliffs and part of the Jurassic coast. There is so much to see and do in this area, National Trust properties, quaint villages, bustling City of Exeter, interesting waterways - canals, coast and rivers.
