Burnham Beeches is a charming detached Spanish style villa and is situated in a stunning area of beauty within the pine forest of Avsallar. The villa is comfortably furnished with spacious, light airy rooms, fully air-conditioned throughout, it also has a wifi connection. There is a large fairly mature garden which is walled all around and is accessed by a gated paved driveway. The garden has fruit trees such as grapefruit, lemon, dates, and with flower borders . There is a private swimming pool with marble surround, outside shower, sun loungers and BBQ everything that is needed for a relaxed holiday retreat.

There are 2 local shops 10 minutes walk away where you can buy fresh bread which is delivered daily, they also have a small amount of everyday essentials like milk, bottled water,eggs and fresh produce. The owners are very friendly and helpful and make you very welcome.

Should you want to venture out a bit more the villa is only a 5 minute drive away or a 20 minute walk from the town of Avsallar the resort has a lively town centre with plenty of bars, restaurants, Turkish baths, and all the shops you would need, including 3 supermarkets, which cater for most items that you would need while away. There is also a large open air market every Wednesday with souvenirs, clothes, household bits and pieces also local fresh fruit and vegetables.

We recently visited Burnham Beeches Villa during the Easter Break. It was one of the best family holidays we have ever had. When booking the holiday we spoke to Maggie, the owner, on a number of occasions with lots of questions. Maggie was so friendly and helpful and always responded within a few hours. The villa is in a place called Avsallar, approximately one hour from the airport. The location was great, away from the hustle and bustle but not too far away so we could still walk into the main area. The welcome we received when we arrived was fantastic, the managers of the property came to say hello, showed us where everything was and had put together a lovely welcome pack. This was such a lovely personal touch. We saw the managers regularly throughout our stay, they are such a lovely couple and assured us that if we needed anything to let them know. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The villa had a real ‘home from home’ feel, it was spacious and airy with 3 lovely bedrooms. The main bedroom had a terrace where I spent each morning reading my book. You could see for miles from there. Outside was a private pool and beautifully maintained gardens which had a number of gorgeous rose bushes that smelt amazing. We spent many evenings outside having our evening meal overlooking the pool. Nearby was lots of restaurants, bars and supermarkets and everything was very reasonably priced. One tip that I will give is that you definitely need to haggle in the clothes shops and never accept the first price for any items you want to buy . The beach was a 30 minute walk away or a 5 minute drive. We went a number of times and our children made friends with the local boys playing football on the beach, they were all so friendly. For those that like to get out and about, there were plenty of excursions to pick from. We went on a huge pirate ship called the Kral. The day was fun packed with activities onboard that included a foam party, competitions and jumping from the ship into the ocean, the children absolutely loved it. We also went out to Alanya which is about a 30 minute drive away to visit the castle. This was a gorgeous day with lots to do in the castle and out. Alanya has lots of shops restaurants, bars, cafes and nightlife for those that want to stay out. And last but not least we all had a Turkish Bath, it was so good that we went twice! It was a hugely relaxing holiday in an amazing villa and one we will cherish always. I can wholeheartedly recommend Burnham Beeches as a great place to stay.
