The accessibility to local attractions and the national park is great. The very well set out garden around the house made the hot tub a great place to relax with lots of bird life and quite peaceful area. The house is a home and feels welcoming and is very well equipped kitchen. also for those who like to watch TV they are well catered for with Netflix and Sky. We had a great stay and the contact with the owners on the net was well received and comforting to know they were concerned that we enjoyed our stay. we found a lovely welcome and tea milk and goodies waiting for us. it was just great. very good parking with wide access to house. very local shopping facilities with plenty of good eating establishments very local. the nearness of the Strathspey steam railway is another added attraction with the steam whistle nudging us back to a time we loved to live in. Silver Trees is a place to be appreciated.

Owner's reply: Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. I am so pleased to hear that you appreciated the hot tub, garden and location of the property. Would love to welcome you back at some time in the future.

“Lovely Place”

The bungalow was perfect for our family of 5, plenty of space for all of us. The garden was beautiful and enclosed so the kids could play safely. The house had everything we needed in the kitchen, plenty of towels for all of us and the beds were lovely and comfy. The use of the pool at Dalfaber was an added bonus. We had a fantastic relaxing stay and will definitely be back.

Owner's reply: Great to hear that you enjoyed Silver Trees and that the children enjoyed the garden. Would love to welcome you back next year.

“Well equipped house in handy and peaceful location”

Reviewed 23 Aug 2015

Silver Trees had everything we needed for our one week stay. The kitchen is well equipped and the spacious living room has a welcoming stove which was good to have on a couple of cooler evenings. The garden is lovely, completely private with a large picnic bench for eating outdoors. Great location for walking, cycling or driving around and in a very peaceful street. We didn't use the facilities at Dalfaber too often but it was great to have free passes as part of our booking.

Owner's reply: Many thanks for your very positive comments.

“Great pet friendly home from home”

Reviewed 31 Dec 2014

A lovely bungalow with everything you would need. Comfortable accommodation with plenty of space for my husband, our dog and I. The house was immaculately clean and was well equipped. The cottage owners kept in good contact with us and were extremely prompt in responding to any questions etc before we arrived. Upon arrival - we were several hours early - we were very lucky to contact the owners and for them to allow us to get in early - after a long drive we were very grateful to get in and settled. A new fridge freezer had just been installed., all other kitchen appliances and equipment were clean and well looked after. As we stayed at christmas we were welcomed with a lovely christmas hamper and real christmas tree - lovely touch. I was a little wary about the heaters as I've never experienced the electric wall heaters before but they were great - instant heat whenever we needed it. The area is stunning - the village was very friendly and with some good shops and facilities. We enjoyed dinner at the old bridge and drinks in mambos which were both dog friendly. We walked our dog in the early morning along the side if the house and up to the wooded area near the golf course. We were told by other local dog walkers that it us permitted to walk on the golf course out if hours - it was a beautiful early morning stroll. We enjoyed Loch en Eilean - lovely walk, beautiful scenery, and we visited Loch Morlich numerous times - it is stunning - don't just stop at the first car park for it tho - drive further to the beach car park - it's worth it. Just beautiful. We also enjoyed a session at the Clay Pigeon shooting at the Rothiemurchus estate - great experience, fabulous staff. Would definitely recommend it, as well as the farm shop at Rothiemurchus. There's so much to do especially if you like the outdoors. Nightlife looked good in aviemore too.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your very positive comments on Braeraich. The house has just had a refurbishment and it was lovely to get instant feedback. Pleased to hear that you liked the kitchen with its new large fridge/freezer. Would love to welcome you back next year and thank you once again for taking such good care of the house.

“Cosy Cottage”

Reviewed 18 Mar 2014

Had a lovely stay at this cottage, highly recommend, very warm and comfortable especially in the winter months, great coming in for a day skiing to a warm cosy cottage, plenty of living space and everything you need if staying in to cook a meal. Imagine this would be wonderful to stay in the summer as the garden was lovely, plenty of space to eat outside and even a bbq. Great stay and will book again.

Owner's reply: Many thanks for your very positive comments and look forward to welcoming you back next year when you can enjoy the garden.
