The 6mx12m salt water pool is surrounded by a lovely stone wall sheltering it from any wind and it is also gated for security and the safety of young children.

For those who want to burn off some excess energy or escape from the midday heat we have added a games room converted from an old stone barn. It has a full size table tennis table, professional table football, large air hockey table and dartboard, as well as a fridge, stepping machine and a seating area. For the younger members of the family there is a large trampoline and garden games available, including badminton, croquet and rounders. We also have a number of bikes to hire if you prefer to explore the area under your own steam.

The gardens are mainly laid to lawn and are perfect for strolling around in the warm evening sunshine contemplating the activities for the following day, of course a glass of wine to aid in your decision making is a must!

The large purpose built BBQ area adjoining the pool house has a vine covered terrace overlooking the lake with valley views beyond. Subtle lighting and lanterns adorn this little enclave. Mixed with the warm evening air and the sound of lapping water from the pool, it creates a perfect ambiance for that alfresco experience that you crave all winter for!

Fishing in our private lake is a great way to introduce the children to a new sport. We have both rods and poles for hire and as the lake is teaming with lots of small and medium sized fish - on the first drop of the line you are almost guaranteed to get a nibble!

There are no busy roads near the property just peaceful county lanes with views from every angle.

Location description from owner

The Occitanie region

Tarn et Garonne is a county in Midi Pyrenees on the edge of Gascony rich in fruit, veg and of course wine production. With a Mediterranean climate free from persistent winds and temps ranging in Spring/Autumn from mid 20’s to mid 30’s in Summer as well as 2000 hrs of sunshine it means even in winter the area is blessed with bright crisp sunny days. The area is lush with a mix of deciduous woodland and rolling hills that resembles parts of England. Wildlife lovers will marvel at the birds, wild boar, red squirrels etc. Wine lovers are spoilt for choice! 1 hour to Toulouse, 2 hours to ski slopes, Atlantic coast, Bordeaux, Carcassonne and 3 hours to the Med coast we are central for day trips all over the SW whatever your needs.

Auvillar

Auvillar, listed as one of the prettiest villages in France, has both Mediaeval and Roman origins with cobbled streets, an unusual covered circular corn exchange and stunning views. The market is still used today as a focal point for village life and a weekly farmers market. The village has a butcher, a baker a corner shop, gift shops, tea shops, restaurants, a museum and tourist office, all the amenities you will need for your holiday.

Nestled in its own little valley, Le Farat is Minutes from Auvillar in the Tarn et Garonne (dept 82), as yet a relatively un-discovered corner of Midi Pyrenees in South West France. It is renowned for its beautiful villages, stunning scenery, châteaux, fresh fruit, wine, Armagnac, foie gras, Agen prunes and much more. Just two hours South East of Bordeaux, under an hour from Toulouse and 7 hours from St Malo. It has easy road, rail and air access and is an area full of great things to explore and enjoy.
Apart from the obvious tourist attractions there are lots of other things to keep you occupied, for example fishing (on site as well as in the river Garonne), golf, horse riding, sailing and windsurfing, walking, shopping, theme park if you want one! wine tasting at a local vineyard and many restaurants within 10 mins.

We offer weekly afternoon wine tours to two local wine caves where we do the driving so you can do the drinking! ask for details.

For those looking for a more modern approach to their holiday there is a large shopping town, a theme park with roller-coasters and a great go-karting track within half an hour! What more could you want.........oh yes the weather, guess what, you've got that too!
