“Fantastic cottage in a perfect location”

Reviewed 15 Mar 2013

It was our first time staying in the area and we looked around the internet for a cottage we liked the look of. End Cottage seemed perfect. When we arrived we had a friendly welcome from the owner who showed us everything we needed to know. The cottage is immaculate and has a very cosy feel to it. It is located in a beautiful location and also has easy links to Bakewell.

“Beautiful cosy cottage-perfectly situated for walking and relaxing!”

Reviewed 5 Mar 2013

My partner and I were really impressed with End Cottage and the service we received from the owners with regards to booking and arriving at the cottage. The cottage has everything we needed and was clean and well presented. End Cottage is perfectly situated with walks which can be completed from your doorstep! The owners have provided a folder which contains walks of the local area and there is a comments book which highlights places to eat/drink that other guests have visited. All in all we had a lovely stay and if you're looking for a cosy cottage, in a quiet village then this is the cottage for you! We are already planning our return!

“Lovely cottage - romantic setting”

Reviewed 22 Feb 2013

Lovely getaway for a romantic weekend away! cottage cosy and the log burner really sets it off. Fully equipped so if you want to stay in you havent got to go far. Lovely pub up the road - Ashford Arms did lovely home cooked meal. Perfect base for exploring the peak district and nearby Bakewell. Lovely walks to take in the surrounding areas. The 10cm of snow really set it off! Cottage a little close to the road so you feel every vehicle going past but really didnt bother us! left feeling chilled and relaxed and content. thanks

“Lovely well-appointed cottage”

Reviewed 21 Feb 2013

We stayed for a long weekend in february. The cottage is well-equipped and ideally situated for country and town exploration. Ashford has 2 pubs serving good value food and a village shop for other necessities. We see from the visitors' book that many others have become regulars and we could envisage joining that club!
