“Perfect cottage for exploring the Peak District”

Reviewed 31 Jan 2014

We spent 3 nights at this delightful well equipped cottage with our two Spaniels. We were very impressed with the quality of the refurbishment, the fire was made up ready to be lit which was very welcome after a long cold walk. We would highly recommend this cottage.

Thank you for your lovely comments and so glad you made good use of the open fire. Your dogs must have loved it. Hope the cosy fire will draw you back again one day. Warmest wishes Debbie

“Delightful”

Reviewed 30 Sep 2012

The cottage was quite charming and suited us all perfectly. It had everything we needed and was in perfect spot for walking and short drives to lovely pubs. The "little extras", flowers cake etc were very much appreciated and Debbie was very helpful throughout the booking.

Thank you for taking the time to write this very special review about our well loved cottage. It was a pleasure to have such kind and appreciative guests to visit. We hope you will visit us again soon. Best wishes Debbie

“Situated a clios lenght next to a busy/noisy road.”

Reviewed 7 Sep 2012

I travelled with my mum, dad and small dog leo. On arrival I thought that the parking was a bit tight and thought o the dog friendly garden must be at the back of the cottage....wrong there is no back to the cottage and what you see from the pic is the whole of the cottage/garden. Whilst I must agree with the other reviews that the location for walks and the amenities in the cottage are very good. The lack of garden and the very busy/noisy road just a cars throw from the cottage, makes this a cottage that I couldn't recommend.

In response to the above review I think it is gravely unfair to write about the dog friendly garden, when it is states clearly on the advert the garden area is to the front of the cottage. In no way does it state there is a garden to the rear. Also the road outside is only busy at peak times and doesn't detract from the ambience of the cottage and it's beautiful surroundings.

“Amazing cottage with great special touches from the owners”

Reviewed 13 Oct 2011

We really enjoyed our stay at Eastview Cottage, as it is a beautiful property that offers everything you could need. The owners have gone way over and above what you would expect - and the finishing touches make all the difference to your stay. We also called them at one point, and they were pleasant, helpful and generally lovely. We would definitely recommend this cottage as a great place to stay with friends or loved ones - and I think some of us are planning to come back here too in the future. A big thanks to Debbie and Dennis who made this a holiday to remember for our friends 30th.

Thank you for your much apprectiated comments. If we had known it was a special occasion we would have even thrown in a bottle of wine.So glad you had a special and memorable time, hope to see you some time again in the near future.
