The house has recently been renovated to a high standard and is located within the historical centre of Artena, a beautiful ancient village perched high on a hill. Artena is approximately 40 kilometres from Rome. This outstanding area is suitable for those who wish to experience the true meaning of 'peace and quiet' while enjoying the breathtaking PANORAMIC views of the surrounding open vistas and these can be enjoyed from the property also!This area offers every opportunity to indulge oneself in the traditional cuisines of ancient Rome and the Lazio region. Its historical centre is a safe pedestrian-only zone and from your property's location (once you have climbed its charming old steps- 90 STEPS-), you can enjoy outstanding views. The property reflects perfectly the ancient architecture that makes this area so very special. The house has its own independent entrance, a delightfully romantic atmosphere and boasts beautiful rustic features such as wooden window frames and supporting beams. In the height of the summer season, the house is always pleasantly cooler than the outside temperature. The locals are sociable and always willing to give a helping hand.

The old town is the ONLY ONE IN EUROPE to boast a totally car-free zone, even bicycles are not allowed. This makes it an ideal location for children and parents to enjoy plenty of stress-free strolling or for the more adventurous amongst you, you could enjoy mule riding on the weekends! In the historical centre, you will find a grocery store, a coffee shop and some traditional taverns serving authentic homemade food

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    If Roberto (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
