Local Area DetailsThe apartment is situated between the bustling town of Arroyo de le Miel - with its abundance of Restaurants, Tapas Bars and Bars - and the quaint Old Town, Benalmadena Pueblo - with its winding narrow streets and picturesque flower filled squares. There are numerous golf courses in the surrounding area including the championship Torrequebrada course. Tivoli World Theme Park is a short 10 minute drive away with access to the Cable Cars across from the entrance to the park. The frequent local bus service passes the nearest Supermarket on its way to the town centre and the coast. The renowned Marina is approx. 2km away with its many shops and restaurants. A lively array of pubs and clubs can also be found in the vicinity of the Marina. Spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom newly build modern apartment. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath.The second bedroom has a double/ single bunk bed style unit. A travel cot is also available.The kitchen is fully equipped with all mod cons. The large lounge area has a dining table which seats 6 and a 2 seater and 3 seater sofa. There's a flat screen tv with a DVD player and CD player.A WiFi connection is available (payable locally).

The most unusual aspect for the Benalmadena area, which stretches from the foothills of the Sierra de Mijas to the seas edge, is that it consists of three main areas which are now practically joined together but are still unique in their own way :BENALMADENA PUEBLO is the oldest of the three and is a typical whitewashed Andalusian village with narrow winding streets and relaxing flower filled squares where the locals meet to chat and watch the world go by.ARROYO de la MIEL is a small modern town with its own distinctive charm. It is a real hub of activity with its many shops, tapas bars and restaurants.BENALMADENA COSTA is the busiest of the three areas, it has beautiful beaches, water sports, leisure activities and of course the lively night life with a vast array of pubs, clubs and renowned restaurants. Overall, the region surrounding Benalmadena has much to offer both young and old.

Arroyo de la Miel

Benalmadena is situated approximately 18 km west of Malaga. It has great beaches and all the usual tourist attractions and has become a highly popular resort for both young and old. The area is made up of three distinct areas - the old town of Benalmadena Pueblo, the beachfront and the commercial zone of Arroyo de la Miel. The Marina is also a must see with its many restaurants, bars and entertainment. Although Benalmadena has plenty of bars, clubs and restaurants catering for all tastes and budgets it is quieter than its neighbours Torremolinos and Fuengirola which makes it particularly popular with families. Benalmadena has plenty of attractions for fun filled family days out including Tivoli World Theme Park, Cable Cars, Selwo Marina, Sea World and the newly opened Butterfly Park which is the largest in Europe.

“Excellent apartment and well enjoyed stay”

Just back from our week stay in Martin and Nicola's apartment. What can I say. From the start of the query about the holiday, all the way through until we were heading home the whole experience was perfect. We are a family with 3 children 13,12 and 11 and our stay was superb. The apartment is very big and spacious. All mod cons you would need for your home away from home, even an Android box so the kids were in their element. Washing machine, dishwasher, full kitchen, microwave, Indoor dining for 6, pullout couches for extra sleeping space and air con throughout. Master bedroom is en suite which was a gift and the other bathroom the kids claimed for themselves. The balcony area was huge. Outdoor dining for 6, sun loungers and a chill out corner seating area over looking the golf course and mountain views. The apartment itself is located about 7-10 mins by bus from arroyo but the 103 bus is regular enough so no complaints there from us. We normally got the bus down and a taxi up at a cost of around €7.50-€8.50. The complex is immaculate and the pool area pristine with lifeguard on duty which was piece of mind with the children. Overall I cannot fault the owners in anyway, always on email or at the end of the phone to contact to ask anything. The key holders were very nice and informative about the locality and things to do and so on well done Stephen and jo. The apartment for us was perfect and 10 out of 10. Already talking about next year's stay. Well worth a visit and would have no problem in recommending this property. Honestly impossible to find any faults at all.

“Fantastic Holiday”

From booking this apartment everything ran smoothly as the owner was able to advise us of any queries we had with regards to the area... what to do, where to go, car rental - the whole process from start to finish was an excellent service. on arriving at the apartment we were welcomed by the owners rep who showed us around and explained the use of facilities within the apartment - a welcome pack was also provided which was adequate for our first night. Our first thoughts on the appearance of the apartment was 'wow' really set out beautiful, spotlessly clean - a real home from home feeling.... The large sun terrace was our favourite as on nights in we had bbqs and meals with the family and lived outdoors which was a lovely feeling. Air conditioning was appreciated as outdoor temperature reached 40 degrees!! The pool and surroundings were spotlessly clean and tended too regularly. The local club house called the Bill Bill was friendly café/restaurant which we attended on evenings for a glass of sangria - they also called a taxi for us to venture into local towns to eat!! Location wise the complex is a very quiet area and not much happening which is great on occasions but not so great when we wanted to go out to eat and have drinks as we did.. a small fortune spent of taxi fare! We walked to the beach which took us approx. 30 mins which we did most days - after a hard day of sun bathing, playing with kids on the beach etc this walk did not appeal to us - we found this easier to jump in a taxi back although there were bus services which we never found out about. We also hired a car to travel to different resorts and venture round the local sites again there are bus services and train services available so this is not a must. Would we return to this apartment - yes we would - although we would look into bus services and other means of travel to save the taxi fare!!

“Superb, well equipped apartment with a very helpful owner”

Everything about this apartment was excellent, right from the moment we booked until the day we left. The apartment is extremely well equipped and maintained with a large terrace with views over the golf course and mountains. The pools were never too busy and the local people were very friendly. The air con was very much appreciated on a few of the really hot nights and the wifi connection went down well too. We didn't hire a car as the local bus service is excellent, and there is no shortage of taxis for the later evenings. The new club house for the golf course was opened in late July and the staff there were superb. I'll definitley go back.

This was our second visit to this apartment, our first being in Sept 2010. We usually hire a car through White's Car rental. It is a short drive (10mins)along the motorway and really easy to find. The train from the airport runs to Arroyo De la Miel Train station and a short trip in a taxi to the apartment. Return ticket cost about €3. The complex is set in a quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle of the high-rise apartments. The apartment is spacious, clean and modern. We didn't want for anything. Very comfortable beds and a HUGE terrace, complete with seating area, full size dining table, sun loungers and even a bbq! The sun shines on the terrace from early morning till it sets behind the mountains overlooking the complex. There is an regular bus service to Benalmadena and the bus stop is a short walk away. We had the hire car so did not use the bus service. There is a choice of two pool areas. Both are situated at either end of apartment block. The kids 8 & 5 just loved the pool and just wanted to spend the entire day there. Some days, if it was quiet, we had the pool to ourselves. The complex is built on a golf course, clubs can be hired and there is a discount available, check with Nicola when booking. Overall, we really couldn't fault this apartment, I would never consider a package holiday or a high rise apartment again. Looking forward to our next trip to Arenal Golf in the very near future!
