“Stunning villa, stunning views”

Reviewed 26 Sep 2018

Had a wonderful relaxed stay, very comfortable beds, everything you need was at villa. Lots of great information provided regarding grocery stores, restaurants and local attractions. Everything clean and very well presented, no improvement necessary, absolutely perfect in every way.

“Best villa ever!!”

Reviewed 22 Aug 2018

We stayed here as a family of 4 for 2 weeks, and the 4 of us loved the villa, inside and out. Absolutely beautiful location, those waves outside are so nice to watch / listen to! The villa has everything you could possibly need, and the air con is the best we’ve ever had. The boys loved it at night! “It’s just as cold as Scotland in here!!” We went to 3 restaurants in the village, the best El Palenke (I think that’s what it’s called) lovely waiters and delicious, cheap food. Really busy full of families on Sundays with a nice atmosphere. There is a cafe type place out the back door (where you park the car) to the left and across- serves coffee, juice, beer, ice cream etc with a football pitch- my son had great fun here and made friends! The kids are a lot friendlier than the adults .... I get the feeling tourists maybe aren’t wanted in the area as hardly anyone spoke, but the kids and the elderly were lovely. Short drive to Arrieta there is a great beach, on windy days the waves here were super, we all loved it! We toured the island and did activities and was so nice to return to this outstanding villa every day. One draw back was constant barking dogs, owners don’t seem to care about the noise and it could be quite annoying when trying to enjoy the peace and sound of the waves. However this is obviously nothing to do with the villa! We will return one day, however after 5 visits to lanzarote we feel we have seen everything so want to try something new. But this villa is the best I have ever experienced and we felt very lucky to live in it for our holiday! Oh, just to add, the outside area is wonderful and the pool fantastic, great size.

Owner's reply: Thanks very much for your review on Casa Mila, and the surrounding area this will be very useful to future guests. The native locals of Punta Mujeres are quiet introverted, but this should not be mistaken with an anti tourist attitude, the fact is that they hardly speak any English, and are more concerned with their fishing and/or playing petanca. All tourists are super welcome in Lanzarote.

“The villa and location stimulated a sense of well being for spiritual nourishment”

Reviewed 28 Apr 2016

Casa Mila is a very well appointed spacious villa that provides breathtaking and panoramic views of the sea from any facing window. The inner and outer spaces are both spectacular and inspiring so if you are looking for escapism with tranquility in a quiet fishing village and accessible to anywhere in Lanzarote, this is the place to be ! Your hosts Lavinia and Gualtiero are very attentive should you have any issues and we were lucky enough to meet them. Fantastic morning view from the bed, french doors open, sun streaming in with the sound of crashing waves - sheer bliss. With a good restaurant/bar next door, a decent size heated swimming pool, hot tub, very comfortable accommodation what else do you need.!!!!!!!!

“Beautiful Property Fantastic Location”

Reviewed 26 Feb 2016

This is a very high standard property in the most stunning location with views out to sea. Very well equipped with everything you need to enjoy your holiday. Village not really touristy but very friendly and helpful, with a few supermarkets and restaurants. Rock pools close to the villa for those who like the sea, nearest beach in the beautiful village of Arrietta which is around 2 kilometres away and there are many bars and restaurants there. The outside area of the villa was perfect with the heated pool and of course the hot tub is such a luxurious bonus. Definitely a return visit to Casa Mila for us.

“Lovely holiday”

Reviewed 27 Jul 2015

We were delighted to spend a wonderful two weeks at Casa Mila. The location is fantastic and facilities first class, comfortably accommodating our party of 7 adults. The sea views are superb and we thoroughly enjoyed simply being able to walk over the road, with a snorkel and mask and then just dropping into the clear blue water. The amount of sealife to see was incredible. A similar location in Portugal or France or mainland Spain would be considerably more expensive and this is easily as good! Punto Majeres is a perfect location to explore the island and easily reached in 30mins from the airport. We ate out in the neighbouring town of Arietta at a restaurant highly recommended by the owner and it was one of the best meals we have ever had although the restaurants themselves tend to be quiet in the evenings. If you want a bit more nightlife Costa Teguise can be driven too within around 20 minutes. Overall one of the best holidays we have ever had, highly recommended!

“Excellent Villa in Punta Mujeres”

Reviewed 8 Jun 2015

Punta Mujetes is a small fishing village. We have stayed here a few times, but this year the Villa is owned by an Italian couple who have enhanced the Villa in a subtle but good way . We visited with six adults this year and the Villa has plenty of room for all of us. Definitely a villa we will come to again

“Casa Mila is the most beautiful villa we've ever stayed in!”

Reviewed 2 Jun 2015

I can't rate this villa too highly. Everything about it is ideal - it is right by the sea and you wake up in the morning to hear the waves against the shore and a glorious view of blue sea and sky. The villa is very well equipped, with everything that our family (myself, husband, two daughters and partners and one nine month old grandson) needed. Even with six of us and baby, the villa feels so spacious that we never felt on top of each other. The pool area is beautiful and we had several barbecues (barbecue provided) on the terrace. The three bathrooms were a real plus with a party of our size and they and all the accommodation were very clean and well presented. The other good aspect of this villa is that the owners could not have been more helpful. In particular, we realised very belatedly that with a young baby and a very late flight home it would be ideal if we didn't have to leave until after 17.00h instead of the lunchtime checkout as per our agreement. Lavinia was very flexible and accommodating of this and what could have been a really stressful last day was instead spent quietly enjoying the sun before returning home. Punta Mujeres is not at all commercialised which was exactly what we wanted. Having said that the restaurant next door was excellent as were the several bars we visited. There is a small supermarket close by which can provide most necessities and a take away pizza place that we enjoyed one evening. Another point about the next door restaurant is that in no way impinged on our enjoyment of the villa - noise levels never got above a pleasant hum of conversation. For us it was a real pleasure to only hear a very few english voices while we were there. Would recommend a visit to the Aloe Vera Museum (yes really!) My husband came back an absolute convert to it's wonderful properties and many uses!

“Wonderful holiday”

Reviewed 7 Apr 2015

We really enjoyed our stay in Casa Mila. The house is very spacious, tastefully furnished and spotless. The location is amazing with beautiful sea views and a lovely garden. The swimming pool is big and we also enjoyed the swirl pool when the weather was a bit cooler. We found everything we needed in the house also for our two little children. The owners Lavinia and Gualtiero were extremely nice and helpful and made our stay smooth and easy. They even provided us with a guide, which they wrote, with lots of suggestions about restaurants and local attractions that was very accurate and useful. We are planning to go there again and we will definitely recommend Casa Mila to our friends and family.

“Very well-kept, well-equipped villa in quiet location”

Reviewed 28 Feb 2015

Had a great stay at Casa Mila, one of the most well organised and well-equipped holiday rentals that I've had. Much toddler/baby equipment is provided which made our visit with our 2 year old daughter that much easier. Owner very helpful and responsive too. Very quiet location which suited us, and we'd definitely consider returning.

“The best ocean front villa on Lanzarota”

Reviewed 26 Mar 2014

Until we stayed at Casa Mila for the first time seven years ago, I had always been of the opinion that you should only visit a place once and that there is always somewhere better to be discovered. Now, I have to admit that have one exception to this rule having just returned from our third visit to Casa Mila and looking forward to our next stay. A truly great ocean front property in a quiet village, built to a very high standard in a very pleasing architectural style and tastfully decorated with flair and imagination. The same goes for the lovelly garden with heated pool, hot tub, abundance of loungers and many other 'creature comforts'. Also, worthy of mention is the house keeper Julie, who keeps the house immaculate and Ken who looks after the pool, hot tub and gardens. They both have worked at the villa for many years and are very professionally in their approach. Both live only a short distance from the villa so are only a phone call away should you ever need them. Finally, but just as important to us is the efficiency of the owners, with the booking and supplying detailed information of the area etc etc. who respond to any emails usually within a few hours and in excellent English! If you stay here, trust me, you will not be disappointed.
