“Beautiful house, amazing location”

Reviewed 10 Sep 2017

The house is stunning and one could not ask for a better location. The owner is very helpful and responds promptly to all queries.

Owner's reply: Dear Daniella, Thank you. It was a pleasure having you as our guest.

“Authentic French atmosphere”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2015

Perfectly located and beautifully decorated. The kitchen on the lower floor was not an issue for us. We prepared two meals and found it easy to enjoy our dinners at the living room table with doors open to the street. The claw footed bathtubs and sinks are in the room, not separate. There is even a separate full bath downstairs for those that want a regular shower. We would definitely stay here again. The hosts were very helpful with places to eat, bakeries, etc. We loved Arles. It is the perfect location to walk and enjoy the Provencal light. Parking the car could be interesting since the off site area was usually used by others. It would have been nice to have had a closer location for the car. The beds were very comfortable and the entire house had everything you would need to enjoy a week's stay.

“Superb in every way!”

Reviewed 6 Aug 2015

We booked this vacation rental in Arles because we wanted an authentic French experience and we were not disappointed. The house is in the old town of Arles and is right across a narrow road from the the Roman Coliseum, there are gift shops and restaurants all around the house, some of them very good especially the restaurant across the road from the arena steps - gorgeous french food and especially delicious aperitifs!! The house is decorated with lovely old furniture, crystal chandeliers and claw feet baths in the bedrooms and more importantly the beds are very comfortable! The kitchen is well appointed, (not that we used it very much with all those eateries around us) The owner Vivian is very helpful and nothing seems to be a problem for her, she has done a wonderful job of putting together a superb house to stay in. We loved our time in this house and Arles and would highly recommend a stay here.

“excellent spacious apartment in unbeatable location”

Reviewed 13 Jun 2015

This is a charming, very nicely furnished apartment with a superb location across from the Arena. There's a cafe next door and numerous restaurants and souvenir shops within easy walking distance. We enjoyed large market days both Wednesday and Saturday. All aspects of the property were just as advertised. A 150-euro cash cleaning fee was charged, so we didn't have to worry about that. The apartment is on four levels (modern well-stocked kitchen in basement), connected by steep circular stairs. A security deposit was returned exactly as promised. In sum, a wonderful experience in the heart of old Arles!

“What a unique home”

Reviewed 8 May 2015

My wife, sister and brother-in-law stay in this home for a week. It couldn't have been more centrally located to everything we wanted to do. I mean when you walk out your front door and there is the Roman Arena (Coliseum) what a view. We were met by the owners who gave us a tour and made us feel at home. Vivian was available when we thought we had a problem. This is a four-story house and the steps will partially offset the wonderful restaurants in the area. It is well furnished, was very clean, the bed were comfortable and all the appliances worked quite well. We would stay there again should we have the opportunity.

“Beautiful and comfortable historic property”

Reviewed 21 Oct 2014

This lovingly furnished property was the perfect base for our visit to Arles. Directly opposite the Roman arena (with lovely views from the bathtub!) and a pleasant stroll to the shops. The owner was incredibly helpful, and it was the perfect, calm home for us with our young baby. We found everything we needed for our stay within the house, and there were some lovely luxurious touches (state of the art kitchen, gorgeous bed linen, roll-top bath with lovely toiletries). We found we didn't need a car until the very end of our visit, when we hired one for a day to go a little further afield - a drive through the Camargue to the seaside town of Saintes Maries les Bains was beautiful, and a trip into the hills to Les Baux in Provence was stunning.

“Great base to explore Provence”

Reviewed 30 Sep 2014

Arles is a very historic and well-preserved Roman city in Provence, and this townhouse could not be more centrally located by the ancient arena -- it's literally right outside the front door. The townhouse is in a period building and is well-decorated with appropriate furnishings. The townhouse has a nice kitchen in the basement, a living room on the ground floor, and two bedrooms on the 1st and 2nd floors. The home was very clean, and the owners were very nice and accommodating. There are many sights to see in Arles, and the city is well-located w/in Provence to allow easy exploration to Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, and the Camargue region. We would highly recommend this townhouse if Arles/Provence are in your travel plans!

Owner's reply: Dear Curt, Thank you for this kind review. We're so happy you, Kristin & your son enjoyed your stay. It was a pleasure having you as our guests. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Kind regards, Vivian

“a delightful stay”

Reviewed 21 Sep 2013

In the center of Arles, steps away from the arena it is a lovely place to stay. From opening the shutters in the morning to listen to Arles waking up, to retreating to the comfortable sitting room in the evening to watch Arles wind down, the location is perfect to explore Arles and the surrounding areas.

Owner's reply: Thank you for this very pleasant review. Vivian

“Romantic ambience and amazing location”

Reviewed 21 May 2013

We truly enjoyed our 4 night stay here in the heart of Arles. The location is unbeatable and the best part was the townhouse itself. Handsome architecture and beautifully furnished and decorated. The only improvement would be a better orientation from the housekeeper about the wifi, and gas stove.

Owner's reply: Thank you, it was a pleasure having you as our guests.
