Le Chene is one of 2 holiday homes on site at La Charriere. It offers comfortable and spacious accommodation for 10, large kitchen and dining area, comfortable lounge with plenty of seating! Suitable for wheelchair users (level 3 mobility). Shared use of swimming pool and sports hall.

Set in 4 hectares of parkland, private terrace, BBQ, parking. All guests have shared use of all the onsite facilities including large heated outdoor swimming pool (May - September), bicycles and sports hall for badminton/basketball, table tennis, billiards, table football.

Whether you are looking for a fun filled holiday with family or friends Le Chene offers you great accommodation in a delightful French setting.

5 bedrooms, all can be set as twins or super king-size doubles. 4 have ensuite facilities. One of these is equipped to be suitable for guests with level 3 mobility. Additional WC. 2 bedrooms are at first floor level.

Fully equipped kitchen with large dining area, spacious living room with log fire and large screen TV. Wifi and private terrace. Cots and highchairs available.

Further details outdoors

La Charriere has a couple of barns onsite and one of these is equipped as a games area. You'll find table tennis, pool table football in here. The big barn next door has a concrete floor lined out for badminton, but can also be set up for volleyball, indoor tennis, 3-a-side basketball or football.

The large heated outdoor pool is available to all guests from May-September and we have a selection of balls, floats and inflatables. There is a wall around the pool and a gate, the pool is fitted with a safety cover which is closed when the pool is not in use.

“Pleasant stay in a nice & peacefull environnement”

Le Chêne really is the place to come to rest. It has all the accomodations for a family holiday. An extra that was very appealing to us was the fact that is was also completely adapted for our daugher who sits in a wheel chair. Our hosts also were very helfull and willing to make our stay as pleasant as comfortable.

“a place to return to”

We were six. Four people with a mental disability, two supervisors. We participated in an international art project in the village. The gite is spacious, rooms are large, easily accessible. There are several bathrooms and there is sufficient storage space. There is a beautiful swimming pool. The breakfast outside, next to the majestic oak was a topper every day. Just like the pool. A place to return. Thank you, Paul.

“Perfect”

We were a group of 10 friends staying in Le Chêne, some of us painters. We used the barn as a studio in which to paint, which was great, Paul was very accommodating in making the area ready for us to use. The gite was perfect for us,a big kitchen in which we all ate together which was well equipped and living room and verandah overlooking the field . The bedrooms are spacious with lots of hanging space and storage, which is not always the case in gîtes, as well as roomy en suite . It is a very well designed gite. The pool is great. Paul and Charlotte were very welcoming and could not do enough for us.thank you both.

“One of our best holidays”

We had a family holiday at Le Chene, there were nine of us all together and there was plenty of room for us all without feeling like you had no space of your own. The gite was very comfortable and the grounds were just as good. Paul and Charlotte (the owners) are very welcoming and helpful with suggestions of places to go and visit. There are plenty of activities and places to see for both adults and children. We went to many places with the children and spent time at the gite. We had a few lazy hours watching some dvd's on some very comfy sofa's and had a few afternoons using the archery equipment. The two children (7 and 9) enjoyed feeding the chickens and learning to play uno (one of the many games around to play). We all enjoyed used of the pool on a daily basis. We made use of the bikes available and took a few bike rides around the near area, had plenty of BBq's looking out onto a wonderful view. I am often asked by the children 'when are we going back to France?' as they and we all had such a good time. We hope to visit again soon.
