Two small mini-markets and excellent tavernas are in the immediate neighbourhood with a large supermarket just 10 minutes drive away. Polis has everything the holiday-maker desires including tavernas, shops, banks, doctor/dentist, bike and car hire etc. There is a beautiful unspoilt sand/shingle beach at Argaka and a more 'touristy' beach at Latchi.
Refundable breakages deposit of £150 required on arrival, to be refunded on your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).
25% Deposit is required to secure the dates of your booking. The balance is due 6 weeks before your arrival.
Jacuzzi Hire is an extra £10 per day or £60 per week.
The Paphos District
This south-west corner of Cyprus has an ambience all of its own: soft breezes, old stone, enchantment and an air of antiquity. This is the kingdom of Aphrodite, the goddess of love,
Paphos itself is really two towns, each with its own character; Ktima on the cliff and Kato Paphos by the sea, two kilometres down the road. The one is unchanged over centuries and thoroughly Cypriot while the other has expanded over the last decade from a sleepy fishing village and harbour into a bustling, busy, sprawling cosmopolitan resort which is still growing.
There are lots of activities in Polis and Latchi ranging from water sports, boat trips, fishing, go-karting, mini golf, nature walks, historical sites such as the Baths of Aphrodite, Bowling, Safari's, Sunbathing on the natural beaches, Cycle routes and much more. The resort is only a 15 minute drive from the property and also boasts a multitude of shops, restaurants, bar and night clubs.
Within walking distance there are several local tavernas and an Irish bar offering live entertainment and reasonably priced meals. There is also a bakery and 3 mini markets in the village or travel 5 minutes by car to Polis for the main supermarket and a variety or good restaurants and banks. Latchi is about 15 minutes by car and worth a visit for a good selection of restaurants serving freshly caught fish in the harbour.
Situated in the sleepy hillside village of Argaka, our apartment offers the ideal location for complete relaxation with the advantage of being only a 10 minute drive away from the more lively Polis and Latchi with it's beautiful harbour and many tavernas. Offering stunning views over the Akamas Peninsula. An ideal location for walking and cycling with a beautiful coastline and countryside to explore.
About 10 minutes drive from the apartment lies the small town of Polis with its attractive main square where it is a pleasure to linger with a cool drink and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. The town offers many restaurants, bars and cafes as well as a bank, post office, pharmacy, hairdresser and many interesting shops. Just a few kilometres further west is the small town of Latchi with its attractive harbour and well known restaurants serving a wide choice of food including many varieties of freshly caught fish. There is a water sports centre and boat hire.
