Description

Located in Co Waterford with uninterrupted views of the coastline, this self- catering/ vacation rental accommodation was recently refurbished with completion in May 2013. With fresh flowers and some local goodies, this 150 year old house retains ' boutique' old world elegance with beautiful furniture combined with the modern convenience of high speed WIFI, a great kitchen, flat screen TVs.

With seating for large groups in both the kitchen and living room areas, we make sure all our guests are very comfortable by providing lots of fuel for our open fire. Large front garden suitable for children and parking for up to 12 cars to rear

15 minutes drive from 3 golf courses

15 minutes walk from 1 beach and 10 minutes drive from an alternate beach with 6 miles of sand suitable for children.

It is in a rural setting with plenty of peace and quiet - 6 miles from the nearest village Ardmore and is 3 miles from the nearest pub. Extensive pet farm and play area 6 miles. Kayaking, climbing and walking routes.

Brownes Farm House is located 12 miles from Dungarvan on the coast road to Ardmore in Old Parish ( an Tsean phobal) . .

Oldparish is part of the Waterford Gaeltacht ( Irish speaking area ) so it is ideal to experience living in a traditional irish setting , rich in music, folklore and the craic. But don't worry everyone speaks English too

This is the ideal location for watersports , kayaking, hiking, walking, eating out ( Michelin star Cliff House Hotel & Restaurant within 6 miles) and experiencing Irish culture and heritage. Mini Bus available for groups over 5 at low cost- taxi available. Babysitting can be arranged.

Special delf available for Christmas and extra special events. Christmas tree and decorations set up before you come.

Getting around

As this is a rural location a car is really ideal. We do however have a local mini bus company which will call to the house .. it has a capacity of 16 and can bring your group anywhere locally and return you to the house.

I live two fields away .. we will leave you completely in peace but if you need anything a quick text and I can be there.

“Beautiful farmhouse, amazing views. wonderful owner”

We had an extended family reunion with our group ranging in age from 12 to 82. We fitted into the farmhouse easily. It was spotless and had every modern luxury you could think of, with a massive kitchen for family meals. The views from all the front windows was spectacular. The owner was wonderful and helped us so much going above and beyond every time It is also a great base to see the beautiful surrounding area. I would highly recommend this rental and we will be back. Thanks for everything! .

We had the best time at Brownes Farmhouse. Six adults and six children we enjoyed every second. Such a beautiful house with a truly wonderful feeling. Walked to a magical little cove and enjoyed the most amazing sunsets. Our children were given the freedom that we ourselves enjoyed as children. Loved Ardmore and Dungarven - perfect location...will definitely return.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
