Description

Triple Award winning holiday chateau offers Le Marronier - a quaint stone Charantaise cottage, nestling in the very private grounds of Chateau Ardilleux. It accomodates four, has original stone features with a fireplace and wood burner. Originally the chauffeurs house, it is located in the tiny hamlet of Ardilleux, surrounded by beautiful French countryside.,but only 5 mins from local town of chef boutonne with supermarkets,pattisseries & restaurants. It has one double bedroom, a twin bedroom, bathroom, a large living room and fitted kitchen. The Chateau was used as a resistance head quarters in the second world war ( with a tunnel of 3 kms purported to link it to Chef Boutonne ). The games room has a pool table& table football.Table tennis in the grounds There are also bicycles available to enjoy the ambiance of rural France. Our chateau garden produces seasonal vegetables, chickens and ducks provide fresh eggs, If you would like to experience a ' fine dining experience' ; book a meal in the dining room at the chateau , and enjoy a meal prepared by owner/chef Corinne using local produce and fine wines before a very brief walk home!

“Lovely setting, great food & made to feel welcome.”

A fabulous setting in the French countryside we had a great week. The food & warm welcome served up by hosts Corinne & Donald was superb and we would recommend this as a great place to stay and a good base to explore the area.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

If Corinne (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
