A unique house set in one of the more prestigious neighborhoods of Antigua Guatemala. Trees and plants abound, the property is an ideal place to relax amidst views of the volcanoes of the Antigua valley, a privileged vantage point of a world renowned Antigua Coffee Farm ("Finca de Cafe") and a plethora of tropical vegetation -- many of which are nutritious or medicinal!
Welcome home! This house is the culmination of many travel influences. We have created many areas in which you will find comfort. Each area is designed to be a "trip" -- taking you somewhere - just letting your imagination and the setting guide you. Here you will find yourself at home. With a fully equipped kitchen, a outdoor barbecue area and our favorite a covered porch area with rocking chairs.
Rooms are all airy and comfortable and unique. Master bedroom of course has a few extra perks starting with a regal view of Agua volcano, its very own walk-in closet and tall dressing mirror and the "piece de resistance": a 5 star bathroom with the most comfortable ergonomic bathtub we have tried in Guatemala.
Extras that make this house even more unique are a traditional Mayan sauna (el "Temascal"), a yoga & meditation room, a large office space. There is of course our library that will no doubt inspire you with better living themed books and manuals (from dreaming methods, esoteric science, plant therapy, history of coffee in the world, sustainable living, energy therapy techniques, and many many more). We are well stocked with a number of fiction novels.
You will get housekeeping service 3 times per week. Nancy will come and put order around the house, make your beds and spruce up your bathrooms as per necessity or request. She also offers typical Guatemalan meals (be it breakfast, lunch or dinners -- please inquire!!). We of course offer a number of services for you to be completely in your ease whilst residing here. Some of these include private yoga classes, fantastic relaxing massage, live music (during a dinner at the house for example), Spanish classes, Tours of Guatemala. All these services within the confines of the property -- if you so wish.
We also offer use of a vehicle for convenience between house, Antigua and the close surroundings (under 20km away).

The Sacatepequez Department region
Set in the Guatemalan highlands, Antigua Guatemla is the Crown Jewel of Guatemala and the Spanish empire of the Americas. Colonial architecture abounds - as you enter Antigua you set foot in a city with approx. 500 years of history.
The neighborhood is Antigua-like (cobbled stone street) yet 1.5 miles out of town center (less than 1 mile from the edge of town). It is very quiet
around here - hearing countryside like night critters, roosters, different owls sometimes. No mainroad pass within hearing distance.
I would definitely encourage you to visit some of the neighboring colonial village around Antigua. Maybe we'll take a trip there together. They are
so much more low key than Antigua... One almost gets a feeling of a forgotten era of Spanish colonialism when walking around some of the old main
squares with pristine churches [... well sometimes crumbling... But still...]

"Stunning villa, with beautifully and lovingly decorated rooms and garden."
This home is gorgeous. Lots of wonderful touches, flowers in every room, colourful decorations, an absolute pleasure to stay and relax here. Particularly enjoyed the authentic temascal (wood-heated sauna experience) outside, complete with rock salt, honey and aloe vera! It felt like having very own spa. The rooftop chill-out with hamocs was another favourite. Absolute bliss-out. Greg was a wonderful host for my 2 week stay. He is very prepared with plenty of information on what to see and do in Antigua, and he invited me for meals and has a wonderful gin collection. A must-see and must-stay experience. Can't wait to go back again!
