There’s plenty to do whether you want to walk or cycle, hire a boat to fish, bird watch, play a round of golf or entertain the children with sandy beaches and outdoor activities like canoeing or abseiling. When you want to wind down Anstruther has plenty of quaint pubs, delightful tearooms and award-winning restaurants, including the best fish and chip shop in Scotland. Destinations Airport : Edinburgh at 45 Miles Train Station: Leuchars at 15 Miles St Andrews: 10 miles Dundee: 20 miles Nearest Beach: 2 Metres Nearest Restaurant: 15 Metres Nearest Bar/pub: 20 Metres Nearest Golf: 1/2 Mile A car is recommended to fully explore the area though local bus transport (to return from a long walk) is excellent.

Interaction with guest

This is my own holiday home and I live about an hour away near Perth. Keys are kept with a local restaurant , which serves good food. Once you have booked my flat, I will send you a confirmation booking by email with details on how to get to my flat and where to pick up keys. I am available on my mobile in case of any crops up. Don't forget my Special Weekend rate: £250 from Friday 4pm to Sunday 6pm available year round apart from High Season.

Very Good

“Excellent flat and location”

We have had a wonderful few days in this flat. The flat is more spacious than we expected and is so well equipped with everything you need. The location on the sea front gives a great view, changing with the tides and it's so nice to go to sleep with the sound of the waves lapping on the shore. Anstruther offers several interesting small shops, a range of good cafes and restaurants as well as a large Co-op supermarket. St Andrews is short car or bus journey and we went to the farmers market there. It also has some lovely small independent shops. The other East Neuk villages are also a short car/bus journey or a walk along the Fife Coastal Path. Thanks Jane for responding so efficiently to our booking request at short notice and for equipping the flat so well. We will be back.

“What a GREAT place”

We stayed 2 nights in this wonderfull let right next to the harbour , it was idillic to say the least . Fantastic location , very pretty period building and a wonderfull spacious top floor apartment . The standard of fit from kitchen , to log burning stove in the lounge with leather sofas to jacuzzi bathroom was just superb . The sound of the sea on the rocks below soothing . We had a great time and gven the opportunity would certainly visit again . I've attached a view out from the lounge , we had the log fire roaring away and looked out over the harbour at low spring tide .
