Description from owner

Description

23 Crail Road is located within a small courtyard development in the centre of Anstruther. Built on the site of a traditional fisherman's yard within a conservation area, the development retains many traditional features, including the external stone walls. Completed in 2008, the internal decor and furnishing are of a very high standard. The living/dining room is on the first floor, as is the newly fitted kitchen, complete with new appliances - hob, oven, fridge, microwave, and washer/dryer. Both bedrooms benefit from en suite bathrooms.

The house is only 2 minutes walk from the seafront of Anstruther, an historic fishing village with many amenities. It is ideally placed for exploring the East Neuk of Fife, home to beautiful fishing villages, unspoilt beaches and golf. The famous town of St Andrews is only a 15 minute drive away. For golfers, there are several excellent courses within a 15 minute drive.

Families will find plenty to do in the area and the house provides a fantastic base for exploring this part of Fife. Stay for a week and visit a different beach every day! There is a park with playground and tennis courts just a minute from the house.

All you need for an excellent holiday in a brilliant location. This is well-equipped accommodation only a minute or two from the harbour an sea front where good eating places can be found.

“Comfortable house, in great location, with all mod cons.”

We really enjoyed our peaceful week in Anstruther. No 23 Crail Road was a well appointed-house with everything you could possibly need. Its central location within the town as well as its proximity to the route to St Andrews also a big selling point.

“Great Accommodation in a great location.”

The property had all the facilities we required for a brilliant holiday. The location in Anstruther was perfect for the local shops, restaurants and harbour. A first class rental accommodation. We would certainly use it again.

“Perfect place for a lovely relaxing break”

Well kept, modern and spacious property in a quiet courtyard setting. Great location with all the other coastal villages being easy to reach. Had a great time exploring the area. Booking process was excellent. Would have no hesitation in recommending this property and will definitely return for another visit. Thank you Helen everything was perfect

Great week spent at this house. Loved how clean and fresh smelling it was. Very comfortable. Beds very comfy. Loved having the two en suites plus an extra toilet. Location was great. So many things to see. To top it off weather was awesome. Some beautiful beaches were visited. Very close to St Andrews which is worth a visit. Will def revisit.

“Lovely house in a lovely village!”

We chose this house for a break with family, and really enjoyed our stay. The house has everything you need, and is in an ideal location - beside the main road into the village but in a quiet courtyard so not noisy at all. The house is welcoming and comfortable, and it kitted out with everything you need, even if you do decide to cook and not sample the famous Anstruther Fish n Chips or any of the lovely restaurants in the village or within a short drive to one of the other East Neuk villages.

“Fabulous house and location excellent”

Booking was very easy the owner sent good instructions and key was there on arrival. This property has everything you would expect in a home. Very clean and kept in very good condition, each room has a en suite which is useful when traveling with family. The location is excellent as the property is only minutes away from the harbour area with bars and restaurants close by all within easy walking distance. There are some lovely beaches close by certainly worth a look and the food in the restaurants and bars did not disappoint. The owner has a guide book which is full of useful information on both the property and local area highlighting places of interest for the traveller. We had a very enjoyable weekend and would not hesitate to book again, I have already passed the details to friends who intend to book soon.

“Fabulous understated accommodation”

Reviewed 13 Apr 2014

We had a lovely time in this slim built town house, very near the village centre of Anstruther (5 mins walking distance). It was clean, very well equipped and everything worked! It was a great base for day trips to St Andrews, Crail and Elie, we even popped into St Monans. The dining facilities were more than adequate for our family of 5 as was the sleeping arrangements (both bedrooms with en suite with an additional bathroom). We hope to return one day!

“Perfect for us”

Reviewed 5 Jan 2014

Arriving at 23 Crail Rd, both my partner and her teenage daughter were bowled over by the property, it had so many aspects that were just right for us, both in size and facilities that we all just loved staying there. As we had relatives and friends to see, with only four days to do it all, we didn't have much time for sightseeing. We hosted a new years day dinner for my mother, brother and the three of us. There was plenty of room, cutlery, crockery and cooking facilities to make this fairly simple and very effective. As we often use holiday homes in both the UK and Europe, it was very gratifying to see that everything had been carefully thought of, and provided, meaning no need to dash to the shops for anything other than our food. Top marks all round for this.

“Lovely cottage in the heart of Anstruther!”

Reviewed 8 Oct 2012

Lovely cottage with plenty of amenities right in the center of town. This was a perfect place for our friends and I as we had a wedding right in town. Would recommend for a long or short holiday! Very clean and well appointed.
