Organized tours can be arranged. The nearby riding establishment caters for all levels and again you can trek through the wonderful countryside.

The Tuscany region
Situated on the Eastern side of Tuscany close to the border of Umbria this beautiful region has so much to offer everyone. From here you can base your holiday and organise daily visits to nearby towns. No where is too far away and whether its Assisi, Florence or Rome they can all be reached easily whether by train or car. This unspoiled region has everything to offer whether its food and wine, tranquility and relaxing, or adventure and excitement. Tuscany is famous for its wines and culture so whatever your wish, Tuscany has the answer.
There are several festivals throughout the year ranging from music festivals, theatre, art or food. The London Southbank Sinfonia base their festival here in the heart of Anghiari in July every year. Free concerts throughtout the town create a wonderful atmosphere.
The festival provides a full and varied program. Throughout the week the musicians perform in stunning locations in and around Anghiari including the popular 'progressivo'; a mini concert tour which winds its way through the town and tiny streets and piazzas.
Anghiari is a lovely medieval town lying between two river, the Tiber and the Arno. The powerful thirteenth century walls made the town an invincible fortress which constituted an important reference point and kept the Tuscan flag flying during the many historical events that occurred in this delicately balanced border area. On the 19th June 1440 the famous Battle of Anghiari which was subsequently painted by Leonardo da Vinci in Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, reaffirmed Florentine rule in Tuscany. Anghiari and its surrounding area has seen the lives and work of the greatest men of the Renaissance who brought the seeds of the modern age from the land intra Tevere et Arno to the whole of Europe. The centuries that followed left their various marks on the churches and houses giving the town its own individual character strung along the steep 'ruga' (furrow or wrinkle) that cuts through its centre, making it unique and unmistakable.

"Anghiari's a hidden gem and if you can stay then this is the place to do it"
We travelled around Tuscany and found Anghiari and the surrounding area beautiful so we stayed in this area and found this property. The place if great, clean and if you want to become medieval for a bit then this is it. Check out when the classical music festival comes to town and also we were there when the town remembers a battle fought on the plains. Everyone dresses up, there are horses, and we ate at a table on the street with food from those times. No need to comment on italian food. It's fantastic.

"Wonderful Town and House"
This house is great because its been done beautifully and is really comfortable and relaxing. The view is fantastic and there are two sitting rooms so there is always plenty of space. Parking is just outside the house which is unusual for these medieval towns so has a great advantage. For anyone wanting to base themselves here to visit other towns in Italy, this is the perfect place. The town itself has lots to see and has some great restaurants and bars. Summer here must be perfect.
