Description from owner

Description

Gunville House was originally two small cottages which were most sympathetically renovated and extended by the previous owners, who ran a successful bed and breakfast operation here for many years. We moved here in June 2012 and have only recently re-launched the business.

The spacious twin bedded room (which can be made up as a double if required) is situated on the ground floor. The room is light and airy with two windows facing out over the fields at the back of the house. The sitting area with sofa, TV with Freeview, digital radio and I-pod dock, is a cosy living space, and leads to the en-suite bathroom.

Breakfast is served in the dining room of the main house with eggs, bacon and sausages all from local suppliers. Fruit juice, fruit and yoghurt are available, plus porridge and cereals.

We will be there to welcome you and show you the facilities, and serve you breakfast. Sadly we are not able to offer evening meals, but the pub in the village is within walking

One well behaved dog is welcome (we have a very friendly black Labrador) but this may be subject to an extra cleaning charge.

The village of Grateley lies in the midst of the Hampshire countryside just south of the A303, around 6 miles from Andover and midway between the cathedral towns of Salisbury and Winchester, both around half an hour's drive away.

With the Test Valley a few miles to the south and rolling Marlborough Downs to the north, there are a multitude of places to explore, and the whole area is perfect for cycling and walking. Monxton and Grateley Golf Centre is a short walk up the drive, and offers a Pay and Play 9 hole golf course and driving range.

Grateley Station (London Waterloo to Exeter via Salisbury) is just over a mile up the road (pick up/drop off is usually possible with advance warning). Journey time to London is 1 hour and 20 minutes and trains run every h
