An attractive bungalow style villa that has been our home for the last 5 years and now we want visitors to enjoy great holidays here. We know that you'll love it as much as we do! From couples to larger family groups, this villa offers everything for a memorable, sun filled time. Whether you want peace and seclusion or to visit the sights and sounds of the harbour and town 10 minutes away, this location is ideal. Then there's the beach which is only 8 minutes away or go in the opposite direction to explore the rolling countryside and hills.
Situated on the side of a valley rising from Paphos town to the village of Anavargos, the plot is one of the largest in the area. We wanted our villa to be built surrounded by beautifully landscaped mediterranean gardens. But not only that, the upper terrace has the magnificent pool, hot tub and further secluded areas to enjoy. One of our sons called it an 'oasis', we think you'll see why. There's somewhere for everyone to have their own space for peace and relaxation. Lots of chairs, tables and loungers, just choose your spot. If the children want to play, everywhere is fenced or gated so it's secure and safe. Relax and let them enjoy themselves!
Built as a permanent home for us, it has all the design features you'd expect for comfortable, all year round living. A large lounge area with stunning log burner. Dining section that leads on to the well equipped kitchen. A corridor leads off to the bedroom wing of the villa which also has the utility room and family bathroom which has a shower over the bath if preferred. The 3 double bedrooms all have built in wardrobes with centre vanity units. The master bedroom's en-suite has a spacious walk-in shower.

The Paphos District
The Paphos district stretches from Paphos town in the south-west up to Polis and the delightful fishing village and modern marina at Latchi on the north-west coast. As one moves eastward, the flatter land of the shoreline soon begins to rise into the foothills of the Troodos mountains. Dramatic changes of scenery and climate can be experienced in less than an hour. All in a region that's steeped in so much history and culture stretching back over 1000's of years. Whatever sort of holiday you are looking for, this region has it all in abundance.
It has the Akamas Peninsula which is probably the last piece of genuine unspoilt wilderness in Cyprus. Classified now as a National Park, it has a rugged coastline with a backdrop of forested hills and some spectacular gorges. Certainly a good place for the adventurous to explore if only to see the sweeping bay at Lara where endangered turtles nest on the beach.
This is certainly a quieter part of the island where there are few factories and little industry. It is still possible to get into the countryside and not see a car or another person for ages. Whether travelling by car, bus or taxi, journeying will be stress free and you're unlikely to be stuck in any traffic queues or have 'rush-hour' conditions! Life here is taken at a very leisurely pace and the traditional 'siesta' is still popular with locals and visitors alike. It's probably the perfect climate too. Glorious sun most of the year, hot summers, mild winters and usually a nice sea breeze ensuring the best air quality.
Cyprus is Aphrodite's island and the goddess of love was reputedly born out of the foam near the rocks at Petra tou Romiou, just east of Paphos town. She bathed in her own fresh-water pool near to Latchi and eternal youth is promised to those who dip their hands in the crystal clear water. Traditional village life is still evident throughout the region where both religious and the colourful folklore festivals remain very popular and well attended.
In the south of the region there are a number of excellent golf courses and with the climate conditions here, they can be enjoyed all year round. Horse riding is available in several locations and very reasonably priced. A great way to get out into the countryside is by jeep or quad bike 'safari' and there are lots of options to choose from. Out of the harbours at Paphos and Latchi boat trips of various sorts can be booked. Leisurely day trips, tuna and other fishing trips, sunset cruises with fireworks, music and dancing. Lots of choice either with everything arranged or, alternatively, take a smaller boat out yourself and do your own thing!
Paphos town was an early capital of the island and the seat of the imperial governor during the Roman Empire and into the Byzantine period. Remarkable mosaics and other archaeological finds have been discovered. So rich is Paphos in cultural treasures that it is included in UNESCO's list of World Cultural Heritage Sites. Many of the ancient sites are open to the public and mostly found in Kato (Lower) Paphos where the main tourist area is located, near the picturesque harbour. This area, like others in the town, are lively and vibrant places especially in the evenings. The colourful and varied seafront cafes, restaurants and bars are popular with locals as much as they are to visitors. The atmosphere is always friendly, relaxed and non-threatening. Crime and unruly behaviour in Paphos is virtually non-existant, so relax and enjoy!
A visit to Kato Paphos and the harbour is recommended and is only about 10 minutes drive from the villa. Just 1km from the villa, on the roundabout at the end of the motorway, is the Alphamega hypermarket which will cater for all your shopping needs and the fuel station is next door. A little further down the dual carriageway is a McDonalds restaurant and 'drive-thru'.
For traditional local food and hospitality take a walk from the villa up to Anavargos village and there you'll have a choice of 2 tavernas, both of which provide good food at very reasonable prices. In fact, in the local area around the villa you will find all you need for food, supplies, services and facilities like main Post Office, Paphos General Hospital and pharmacies. It's why the area is so popular with Cypriots and people like us, and our villa's so close to everything yet in such a peaceful spot.
Just about 8 minutes away is an excellent beach with easy and cheap parking. Then a similar distance is the excellent Aphrodite Water Park. A great day out for the kids and adults too! Nearby also is a very well maintained mini golf course with a go-kart track next door. A bit further up the coast from the town, about 30 minutes away, is the Paphos Zoo, now the best one in Cyprus. Built up considerably over the last 10 years by the dedicated owner it is an ideal family day out.

An excellent villa, which is very clean and well maintained. Lovely pool area and gardens, with plenty of places to sit and sunbathe or escape from the sun. This lovely villa had everything you could need for a great holiday, a real home from home. Well located, and only a 10 minute to drive to Paphos Harbour area. Thanks to Steve, the villa caretaker for his restaurant recommendations - they were great, and also to Peter and Wendy the villa owners who were so extremely helpful with all the arrangements. We wouldn't hesitate to come here again.
Thanks for the positive response. Wendy and I are so pleased that you had a great time at our villa with everything working out so well for you. We hope that you will be able to return again at some time.
