From the owner

Before I begin; due to new local laws I am forced to be careful with the amount of guests I accept per booking and I have adjusted prices accordingly. For this reason I need to know the amount of guests per stay beforehand and cannot tolerate unmentioned additional guests or so-called sneak ins. I have installed an hd-camera on the stairway leading up to the apartment to ensure no such things may happen again. If a booking breaches the original agreed number of guests I will be forced to end it immedeately without a refund.


This very well located two bedroom top level apartment is only a five minute walk from Amsterdam's famous clubs, museums and the Vondelpark. Two bedrooms;one right under the original roof from 1905 which comes with a splendid view. French balcony.

The apartment is very conveniently located for both clubbing and exploring Amsterdams Museum district and many vintage stores. All these locations are within ten minute walking distance and because the apartment is situated just off the edge of the Oud-West district, the streets are quiet and guests will find the apartment a perfect place to rest and recuperate. The apartment features two bedrooms which both feature double beds and a couch that easily doubles as a bed which allows up to 5 guests a comfortable night sleep. Optionally I supply an extra mattres to accommodate 6 people in total.

The apartment features a tv with an apple tv and Netflix, WIFI and internet access. A record player and Bluetooth speakers are available to provide a musical backdrop to a pleasant stay, optionally an xbox360 can be setup with Beatles Rock Band or other video games.
The apartment features a spacious dining room and plenty of space to unpack luggage in a private wardrobe. Fully furnished kitchen with all necessary appliances.

I will be in Amsterdam and can be called in with requests regarding the apartment at any time.

The neighbourhood is conveniently located right next to the main entertainment area Leidseplein with famous clubs such as Paradiso and the Melkweg, but because it is a 5 minute walk suffers from no noise pollution whatsoever. Five minutes towards the other way one finds the world famous Vondelpark and the Museum district features the Van Gogh and Rijkmuseum, amongst others.

A direct bus to and from Schiphol Airport leaves every thirty minutes from Leidseplein, which is a 5 minute walk. Three tram stops are situated around the apartment and Leidseplein is a hub for public transport.

The apartment was created from a split building which was built in 1905. This gives the house a unique atmosphere but also comes with many of the peculiarities of older architecture: the wooden floors transfer noise downwards which means there are some houserules. Because it is a top level apartment one has to climb 4 flights of stairs to reach the front door, I will gladly assist with carrying luggage upstairs.

Nice Trip to Amsterdam

We stayed there 4 nights and wen loved the location. It was 5-10 Minutes by feet away from Downtown. Robert was very friendly and courteous. We had a wonderful trip :)

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Robert (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
